This place rated high on both. It was early about 6:00 and very few customers. We were seated without reservation, by 7 this place was jumping surely u would need one by then. Charming restaurant but they pack u in a little tight. Seems like this is standard in Paris. Customer Service Julien out waiter was the best. Very attentive and friendly, no rushing. Little language problem but I pointed to menu and he helped me pick my entree. He was great. Assortment of cheese Very good Rigatoni with truffle sauce topped with shaved cheese Did not look like much but the truffle sauce had rich flavor. Veal chop with chanterelle mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Wow never tasted anything like these beautiful flavors. Going to make this dish at home. Brioche French toast with salted butter caramel and ice cream. Too sweet for me but delicious, my honey loved it. Plating Lots of pride here. If I am ever in Paris in Avenue De Champs Elysees I would come here again u should to. This was a perfect dining experience. I would rate this place a 10 if I could.

THE FOOD ------------------…read more+ Escargot/Extra large Burgundy Snails - Fantastic! Lots of flavor and addictively so good. Use the complimentary bread to sop up the oils! = French Onion Soup - Ehhh just OK. Tasted like just your average French Onion Soup. + Duck Confit - Duck leg was delicious and tender with lots of gravy. Scalloped potatoes were a great side for it. + Beef Bourguignon - Phennnnomenal. Arrived in a clay pot and the beef was so tender and flavorful. Stewed potatoes and carrots were also in the au jus and flavorful too. Wish I had something (other than the bread) to soak it up! + Lasagna Bolognese - Tried a littttle bit of it and it was solid. Can't say it was much different than other good bolognese dishes I've had, but it was good. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + Seated quickly for our Sunday evening resy. - Food took a litttttle too long to arrive. + Waiter was very friendly. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ + Small restaurant, but has quite a few tables inside and noticed that parties without a reservation were still immediately seated. + Was busy for a Sunday evening at 5:30-7 PM, but there was always a open table or 2. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------------- = Nada.

THE FOOD ------------------…read more+ THEEEEEE gold standard for macarons in Paris ... or anywhere for that matter. + Macarons here are a little crisp, a little pillowy softness and a whollllllle bunch of flavor. - It cost a pretty penny (about 3 Euros for 1 piece), but you won't regret it for a second when you bite into one of these addictively delicious treats. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + All class, top notch white glove service - literally - they handle the macarons with much care like it were gold! THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ + Located in the heart of the Champs-Élysées on Rue Lincoln, so, YES, it is busy like rush hour outside ... and inside. + There are 2 sides to this massive flagship location - you can either make a purchase of macarons at their store OR dine/sit down in their tea house. Both have lines to wait on, but making a purchase only takes about 10 minutes on a weekend, while dining in looks like an unimaginable wait! + The store to make a macaron purchase at has 3 tables to sit around to enjoy your purchase of delicious macarons. You MUST catch someone about to leave (like we did) in order to snag a table. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------------- = Expect waits on a weekend afternoon, especially to sit down in the tea room. If you just make a store purchase, it's only about a 10 minute wait ... and you'll be thanking your legs for that. = It's a tourist destination in itself, so expect LOTS of people taking photos of this location. CONCLUSION ----------------------- = Yes, I'm from the tri-state area and they've had a Laduree in NYC since 2011, but there's alwayyyyys something special about going to one of the originals and this spot is no different.

It was a wonderful lunch, the food memorably delicious, and I had high hopes for L'Entrecôte de Paris when I came across it almost two years later, on an early evening walk along the Champs-Elysées. I was with my mom, my two young sons, and my friend Ava B., who lives in Paris and had treated me to that birthday lunch. We had some inkling that this L'Entrecôte, on a conspicuously touristy block pretty close to Le Relais (only six minutes on foot, I just looked it up) might not be the same as the one we'd so enjoyed. But there was no line and we had to eat, so we decided to walk in. I honestly can't tell, even with time and internet at my disposal, whether this L'Entrecôte is part of the historic family of restaurants that includes Le Relais de l'Entrecôte. That group has its own Wikipedia page and it seems that several branches of the family have struck out on their own, but I can't find this location among them. What is clear is that this restaurant is at best a distant cousin of the one I went to two years ago. It must benefit from the association, as it is quite clearly inferior. The place was cute, at least, even if we were directed to the basement, where no one offered to help us lug our big American stroller. There were mirrors and Frenchy art on the walls, red gingham tablecloths on the tables. The format was the same as at Le Relais de l'Entrecôte. Small menu, very few choices, just the set with salad, steak, and fries. The kids ate dinner rolls and fries and drank water flavored with strawberry syrup. I had a glass of red wine. The salad was okay, out-of-the-bag greens with some pecans and a creamy dressing. The fries were solid, but the steak was pretty bad. It just wasn't good beef, and the house sauce wasn't anything special. Certainly not tasty enough to make up for the meat quality. L'Entrecôte was 100% a tourist trap, and I'm a little ashamed that I fell for it. It wasn't the worst thing to have a quick early dinner with kids, though, without going out of our way. But if you have time to walk and suffer a longer line, I'd recommend getting the real thing on Rue Marbeuf.

There is a communal table for singles like I was plus more for about 35 folks or so. Fairly quiet when I arrived, it was busy by 12:45. I was given time with the menu which has English on it - plus you can read the menu online to be ready to order. I ordered steamed buns but got dumplings - which is what comes with the noodle soup as a lunch special. First course came right out hot and freshly steamed. Noodle Soup with porc came soon after. The fresh cilantro just having been put into the hot broth smelled great. Tons of fresh noodles, a tasty not-too-salty broth, the usual. 4 slices of pork, plus snap peas, edamame and scallions. Hot and delicious, especially when I add lots of the hot chili sauce. When it's not crowded this is great place to get away from busy Paris streets and enjoy comforting food. I'm fortunate to live in the SFBay Area so this kind of Asian food is comfort food for me. Perfect for getting warm and exciting the taste buds.
