So good, we returned for a second visit today. My faves were the baby eels with shrimp, anchovies, fried chorizo, chicken and churros.
It was love at first bite. The anchovies were small but each packed in lots of flavor. I had to forcibly remind myself to share. The second dish was as memorable as the first. We ordered the baby eels without shrimp on the first visit. On the second visit, we ordered it again, this time with shrimp. Equally yummy.
The fried chorizo was surprisingly not spicy but delicious nonetheless. In fact, turning this into a silog would make for an awesome meal.
The pollo al ajillo was a testament to the skill of the chef. The meat was tender and juicy. The skin was perfectly crispy. The dish was highly seasoned but everything was well balanced.
The paella was just OK. Would have been better but was missing the rice crust. The rice was obviously cooked in a bigger communal pan and assembled in a smaller presentation pan for individual orders.
I've had many churros over the years. Few were done to my liking. These were perfection. Crispy exterior with a completely cooked interior that wasn't dried out. The chocolate dipping sauce took it over the top. So good, I ate the extra sauce with a spoon. If I wasn't with company, I would have licked the cup clean.
Can't wait to return and explore the rest of the menu. read more
