After dinner elsewhere (thank you great Ciccia Lische), i returned with Italian translation saying "As an executive of a famous company, traveling solo on business, it's a pity to not feel welcome. One small table, probably before any of your reservations arrived. We started with vino of course from a long selection of local Tuscany wines. We then split a vegetable salad that was topped with fresh balsamic and olive oil, bread, phenomenal Cacaio e Pepe and a pizza. They cook the pizza on a wood fire grill so we had to try it! One of the servers kept telling other tables about "cake" so of course we inquired and settled on chocolate. It was delicious! Service was great and accommodating to English which was helpful. It was easy to place one order, the cake was delicious! It had a beautiful cross section and each bite was so tasty. That's when we happened upon this wonderful little cafe that served pasta dishes and lasagne. They only had marinara on their menu, however, when I asked for meat sauce the waiter accompanied me! We both enjoyed our pasta dishes and the salad was large enough to share.
