Such a cute place, had to go because I love popcorn. They gave us samples of any flavor such as blueberry- had actual blueberry pieces on it and was such a different flavor. Definetly a must try. The other flavors included caramel, maple syrup, butter, sweet and salty and some others. I got sweet and salty which was a less harsh kettle corn, so yummy!! Holy. Popcorn. This place could only be better if they set up shop in my kitchen. Come on in and be greeted by smiling happy faces who are eager to get you to sample the delicious morsels of popped corn. They offer 4 flavors which are proudly displayed in aquarium-sized tanks: Blueberry, Sweet & Salty, Caramel and Maple. The popcorn itself are large, round and puffy with hardly any kernels, so you can truly enjoy the mouth watering goodness that comes with each piece. It was hard to choose which flavors would be coming home with me in the medium sized $8 tub ($1 off refills if you bring the tub back!) but I finally went for a mixture of blueberry and maple. BEST decision EVER. I'm actually sitting here devouring the popcorn as I write this, so I forsee a trip back to Bar Harbor Popcorn in the very near future! read more

Definitely a highlight of downtown Bar Harbor. I love that they don't try to over do it by having so many flavors or anything pre-packaged. They are generous with samples, and incredibly helpful. All 3 flavors were GREAT! I would never normally be interested in blueberry popcorn because usually there is some type of articial flavoring in that. But not here! They use fresh, real blueberries to put on. We couldn't decide so we got a bag of the three flavors mixed! This is without a doubt the most sensational popcorn I've put in my mouth. I love the different flavors. Blueberry throws your taste buds one way. Maple goes the other. Oddly the most popular flavor is caramel, by a nose, but that just goes to show the other two are clearly underrated. I've never had popcorn quite like this. It's just really impressive how the blueberry and maple combines on the edge of the popcorn to create a unique texture that's underpinned by high quality popcorn. A must do experience! read more

Must try this place! We went here after having a horrendous customer service experience at CJ's ice cream and this place was a breath of fresh air. The owner was so kind, helpful and patient as we tried the different flavors of their freshly made popcorn. You must try the blueberry flavored popcorn! I know it sounds a bit strange, we were skeptical at first but then after trying it we were hooked. We thought it would taste artificial but it was soo delicious and tasted like fresh blueberries! The owner explained to us his process of making it. We got one bag of blueberry/caramel mixed and one of cheddar, both were delicious but we wished we got a bucket of the blueberry popcorn as we inhaled it right after we left! He created the popcorn using scientific findings from the University of Maine to find the perfect quantities, cooking temps etc. The quality is up there or beats Fishers of Ocean City, MD. Recently visited and purchased a medium sized container split between Maple and their Sweet Salty popcorn. The man who helped me (I believed the owner) was knowledgeable, passionate, and a pleasure to deal with. I think the pricing is pretty on point with other popcorn places I've been to, and the flavor and quality is great. They don't have a lot of flavor options, but this is a true case of quality over quantity. The maple popcorn is made with real maple syrup, and it's sweet and slightly sticky. The salty sweet is a less harsh version of kettle corn; I LOVE the bites of salty and bites of sweet mixed into each handful. They did offer us samples, which was great, and they did give me two flavors in my container, which is also a great option. The shop is very small, but cozy, and located right across the street from a nice little park with benches. I will be bringing my popcorn tub back for future refills. read more

What a great, nostalgic find! Their flavors included blueberry, salty and sweet, maple, caramel and butter. The blueberry flavor tasted exactly like a blueberry not artificial whatsoever. They took the time to careful scoop the popcorn as to not get any crumbs and they were happy to let us try and combine two flavors when asked. I found I liked the freshness of the blueberry, mixed with the saltiness of the maple. Really cool place to grab a tasty Popcorn treat. As a Chicagoan I'm a pretty big fan of Garretts popcorn, but I will say this place definitely holds its own. Its just as flavorful and very delicately crafted, less messy too. Three flavors: maple, caramel, and even blueberry. The maple and Blueberry are made with local Maine ingredients. Maple was my favorite. The only thing I wish is that they had a couple savory flavors as well. Maybe some good organic cheese flavors or something. The blueberry popcorn is fabulous. You can see small bits of actual berries on the popcorn. It's not too sweet, just right. We also loved the salty sweet. The owner was incredibly kind and thankful for our business, and the other employee also let us sample any of the kinds of popcorn that we wanted before placing our order.
