I came here due to a yelp recommendation because like most westerners unaccustomed to the Spanish way of living I was hungry at about 7 pm and needed something to eat. Yay yelp to the rescue. The place was crowded and there were no seats available when I arrived. There were many small groups congregated around tables and a few couples as well. It isn't obvious how to proceed once you come in the door so I probably stood there awkwardly for a few minutes near the door before making my way to the bar to what looked to be a vacant seat. A gentleman informed me that it belonged to his girlfriend so I was forced to now stand awkwardly next to the bar. Bar tender to the rescue explaining that if I waited he was pretty sure someone would leave soon and I could order a drink while I waited. I ordered a sangria and also inquired about food but was told that I need to have an actual seat in order to order food. After nursing my drink for about 20 mins when I was about to pay and head out to find somewhere else to eat, a spot finally opened up and I was treated to the most delicious steak and potatoes and zucchini tapas. This had to be one of the most delicious things I have eaten on this vacation. When I finally vacated my seat to save a pair of new arrivals, there was a line outside of people waiting for the opportunity to eat here. I might chance it again before I leave Seville. I highly recommend for the food and friendly waiters but wish there was a way to turn seats over more quickly. One guy kept insisting he was saving his girlfriend's seat but in the 90 mins I spent there she never showed up. Who knows if she ever existed. Pork with cheese was really salty and flavorful. They gave a very generous portion of salmon with dill sauce. The pork cheek was super tender although maybe a tad underseasoned. Overall the food was was very tasty. The place was extremely crowded; we got there relatively early for dinner and sat at the bar. It was so good, The octopus was super chewy and great as well. I also ordered a blue cheese and ham sandwich. The guy that helped us I think is one of the sons of the owner and he speaks good English. We ordered some a small beer, red wine (vino tinto), and of course tapas: shrimp in oil, octopus, cured meats, and an omelette. Everything is super good and reasonable priced. I highly recommend.
