After bouncing along the highway through Louisiana we notice diesel fuel leaking. We pulled into an RV park in Claude, TX on a Saturday and figured we wouldn't be able to get service until Monday. Took a chance on a Google search of mobile mechanics in the area. We are so glad we chose Sky's. Schuyler came out and did an assessment of our problem, ordered the part and returned the next day to complete the repair. He noticed a problem that we weren't even aware of, and trouble shot the repair. We appreciated his keeping in contact with us when he was in route by phone and text. Highly recommend this business if you are local to the Amarillo area or if you are on the road traveling as we are.

He had to come back three times and still charged hourly rate for travel (4 hours each way). Before everything was done, I paid out almost $9K. After he was done, broke down again after 5 miles. Longer story short, come to find out he didn't put in the fuel injectors properly nor did he clean out the bore before putting in the new ones, so it destroyed all of the fuel injectors (new and old) and almost destroyed my entire engine. Everything I paid him was a complete waste of time and money and caused more damage, thus costing me thousands more. BAD SERVICE, BAD WORK, and overall, he took complete advantage of me and saw me as just dollar signs.

He didn't offer to follow her to the store, didn't offer to go to the store, didn't offer Jack crap. He was going to take $100 and leave on a $50 service. The biggest problem here is the fact that he was asking her personal questions about where her parents were, where they worked, and why they weren't home and various other info that was none of his business. She felt very vulnerable as he had an aggressive attitude and she was alone at the time. We came over and he proceeded to be rude to my husband. Instead of explaining policies and apologizing for his behavior he said that he, "wasn't a banking service" and "he didn't mean to be rude". From reading other reviews here I think he knows he's rude and just knows he won't get in trouble because evidently he does not answer to anyone. My husband did call and inform management but I doubt it will do any good considering he obviously has a past. How hard is it to be nice to people in a time when they're at your mercy for help and service?!?! You're in the business of customer service, so how about using some manners so that you keep business. I can guarantee that no one I know will ever use this business!

Jimmy's rates are quite reasonable and he's fair to deal with…read more I've had my Toyota for a decade now. I've taken it to dealers, chains (Firestone, etc), and independent mechanics. I'll give an example of why Autocraft Inc and the head mechanic Jimmy are so great. Once I had trouble with my car - it was overheating. He suspected the car needed a new waterpump, but he later found it was a problem with the gauge. Despite doing the equivalent of a thousand dollars worth of labor and parts, he only charged for what he would have charged if he was right which was a fraction of the price. I even authorized the extra work expecting to pay more. Jimmy refused to be paid until the car was fixed right. I mean, he could have just said "Hey, the estimate was off, I did a lot of work on your car, I deserve to be paid". That's how a lot of other shops do it. Basically, this guy seems like he is in the mechanic business because he likes to fix cars, he likes people and wants people to trust him and keep coming back. He takes pride in his work and his reputation and that is a hard thing to find these days. If you work downtown, I would recommend leaving your car to have it worked on, then just walk down Polk st to pick it up.

After visiting the canyon, they had reservations at a hotel in Canyon TX. Their 2016 Honda CR-V was acting up, and after parking at the hotel, they discovered that it was leaking fluid underneath. The next morning they had it towed to Crabtree Automotive Repair, where Gary took care of them to a level that went so far above and beyond that I get moved just thinking about it. He quickly discovered that the transfer case was leaking, and ordered one from Dallas to be delivered the next day. He was completely transparent about the cost, and that he wouldn't know if there were other problems with the transmission until he got the new transfer case installed. The next morning, he drove to the airport in Amarillo to pick up the part, and had it installed by 2pm. Unfortunately, after test driving, it became clear that the transmission was bad too. Hanging around in Canyon to wait for it to be fixed was not an option. Santa Fe was already a lost stop, and the travel party was feeling defeated. I was home in Phoenix, discussing the options with my wife. There was talk of everyone splitting up and going to their respective homes. They decided to complete the trip to Phoenix, but they would need to get to the airport in Amarillo to secure a rental car. Once again, Gary came to the rescue, and offered to drive them all, and their luggage, to the airport the next day. When I first learned about the car trouble, I told my wife that the best vacation stories almost always came from times when things didn't go as planned. People step up to help when we need them. Some of them go far beyond, and Gary is one of those people. He took care of my family when I couldn't, and he saved the day. That's a hero. Not to mention, he's also an expert mechanic who will fix your car at a more than fair price.

Their assignment was to pull the motor, replace motor mounts and repair an oil leak. This was on an older 12v dodge which is about as simple as it gets and these guys can't seem to pull it off. They only performed half the work and Jeff is okay with it. He no longer mechanics much himself anymore but more importantly is hiring employees that are apparently not qualified to do much more than oil/filter changes! I was also told multiple time that they didn't care for working on much of anything unless it was a ford. I should've taken the hint the first few times I was told that! Here is a short list of the laziness (1. (Still can't believe this one!) NOTHING COVERING INTAKE AND TURBO! JUST WIDE OPEN!!!!!!!!! Did not re-install and tighten the bellhousing bolts (one tight), the starter (laying in the bed of the truck), fuel linkage, transfer case linkage, exhaust from turbo, bought new poly bushings for motor mounts, they didn't install them, just used the worn one AFTER BEING INFORMED OF PARTS MULTIPLE TIMES!! My standards aren't that high but when you can't make a call and say hey man, were here, you wanna replace this? You are NOT a decent mechanic! Period! Jeff and his crew will cost you more money in the end, just find a real mechanic shop with an owner that will stand behind his AND his hired-hands work without acting like he just woke up from a nap when you ask questions.
