Has the pleasure of checking out County Club on Saturday night around 8. Although they close at 9,…read morethey were still packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Despite the huge outdoor seating area, we ate inside at a high top community table. As a short person I generally despise high top tables, but these had a bar where you can rest your feet, which for me was a nice touch. Our server was quick to ask us about drinks and brought over water. She was lovely! We ordered two drinks, and 3 entrees to share: grain bowl pizza time, pork and slaw sandwich, and poutine with brisket. Everything was delicious! The pork sandwich was my fav, especially after adding the homemade BBQ sauce on the table. Perfect touch. Lastly we got the strawberry cake. Wow--it was a strawberry Bundt cake slice, with buttermilk glaze, and basil Chantilly cream. I don't know who the pastry chef is--but they deserve a raise! We wanted to come back just for the cake! All around 5 star experience on a Saturday night, which is hard to do. We didn't wait long for food or drinks. Everything was tasty. And we had a good time. Will definitely return for when the menu changes next month!

I was hesitant to get the brisket pho for brunch at first but wow was I happy with my choice. This dish was expertly created with their fall-apart melt in your mouth brisket, a fried egg and a toasted bagel to top it off. Some of the typical pho toppings like bean sprouts, cilantro, basil, and jalapeños, made this dish taste quite familiar, yet having this brunch version was interesting. I love the take on one of my favorite Asian dishes and had never seen it brunchetized before. I would highly recommend to any pho lovers who are open to a unique take on this Vietnamese cuisine to give this a try.

I typically would not write a review as a guest, but I have to make an exception for the Apiary. My brother and his wife had their ceremony and reception here the weekend before last and it could not have been more perfect. Complimentary valet parking was available for the wedding and very appreciated. There isn't a ton of parking in the area so this is the perfect solution, especially on a rainy day. Valets were ready to go even when we arrived, about 45 minutes before the ceremony. Just remember cash to tip! The Apiary grounds and building are beautiful and well maintained with historical charm. The grounds were worth exploring with beautiful greenery, stone benches, and water features. The hard cover pavilion was the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding with protection from the rainy day. For a wedding of about 60 guests there was more than enough space. Inside, a lovely gathering room and bar area were comfortable for the time before and in between the festivities. The bridal party had a large cellar area to get ready. The bathrooms were conveniently located in between the ceremony site and reception room. The food here was absolutely amazing and truly on par with a meal at a fine dining restaurant. I live in Las Vegas and it was like eating at a fine restaurant here. The service was over the top with perfect timing and professionalism. The whole service team would line up to serve and remove courses at the same time. The attention to detail really added something to the event. Zero proof cocktails were offered to non-drinkers and the two children in attendance were provided special meals. Our meal started with Caesar Salads. It was one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had and a hearty portion. The Parker house rolls were warm and buttery. The Beef meal had delicious slices of tender beef, crispy potatoes, and green beans. The kid's meal was really tasty with both healthy options and foods kids typically love. The venue was on top of accommodating food allergies by asking each guest if they had allergies before the meal. The groom has food allergies and he was able to enjoy a lovely meal that evening. The Apiary sent an already beautiful event over the top. My brother and his wife made a fantastic choice in where to celebrate their big day.

This doesn't make it less beautiful, the view is just different. They do plant a lovely assortment of flowers: various types of lavender, wild flowers, zinnias, sunflowers (both very short and medium height-- not teller than you), and a couple others. Perhaps only one year they had pumpkins. There is not a ton on the grounds - there is a gorgeous gazebo and small shop. There are some benches outside of the shop, but I don't think this is a place you really plan to spend an extended period of time or picnic - it's more to indulge in the shop and see some beautiful flowers that you get to take home. It is a u-pick for $12. The owners are incredibly friendly! Their small shop is nice, smells delightful, and is clean. They have an assortment of goodies, mostly lavender themed: lavender shortbread cookies, lavender soaps, cute shaped soaps, body spray, honey, diffusers, essential oils, etc. Coming here for the "sunflower festival" I was a bit underwhelmed. The sunflowers weren't as tall or plentiful as I am used to seeing so I wasn't cascaded in sunflower rows where you can play hide and seek. I believe the taller sunflowers just had 2 rows. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of short sunflowers-- that was unique! Overall, I did expect to see more sunflowers at the sunflower festival. The website also advertised sunflower themed goodies and sunflower seeds, but there was none of that. There was a physic (I don't understand what this has to do with the theme), beer (hot day), snow cone, and 3 people selling handmade items (horse items, soaps, and jewelry). I was expecting more (sunflower themed) and some food vendors (there was a snow cone place). It just didn't feel very festivaly. It was a lovely time nonetheless and I left with gorgeous flowers (which surprisingly were not sunflowers).

This family owned lavender farm is just gorgeous, with bees and butterflies flitting around. They also just planted sunflowers and pumpkins that'll be ready later this year! Patty also said she hopes to start her own hive and make some lavender honey (which I wish they already had, but it'll be worth the wait!) I also told her about my failures with my own plant lavender and she was able to give me advice (I guess they don't like water haha). The boutique gift shop also smells unreal with amazingly priced items!! I was able to buy lavender shortbread cookies, 2 handmade lavender soaps, a lavender/vanilla body spray and a wooden soap holder all for $22! If you're in Lexington, please take a little drive out to see this adorable farm. P.S. I came back the same day to get another body spray! That's how good they are :)
