The only thing to watch, and this may be true for many medical practices, is the lab work on yearly wellness visits. For some reason, Mayo tests came through ala carte and cost a fortune the first time. I don't know if that has changed, but I now get a paper script for the bundled tests (CMP, CBC, etc) and take it to Quest.

My doctor is the best. I'm dropping a star due to a few factors. It took many months to get off the waitlist and to finally get in the Mayo system. Also, there have been a few new people up front that aren't as cheery or as helpful as others in the past. Finally, I had to see an NP on my last visit that was riding out their days until retirement (pretty much said that) who was completely unprepared for my consultation. I'll drop the rest of the stars and go somewhere else if that happens again. But, I'm holding on to hope and thinking the downward trend is just an anomaly.

The program at Balanced Physician Care is reasonable and I love having full access to my Dr even after hours. I have several specialists I have to see every three months so I go to Dr Budd as my primary care because he is just that good! He told me that I was having a stoke one time and after racing to the ER, they were able to give me a drug to reverse the damage. I went to him complaining of severe pain in my legs and couldn't walk well and he sent me for an MRI thinking I had a serious issue with my spine. He was right and I had to have emergency surgery as my vertebrae had shifted onto my spinal cord. These are only some of the things Dr. Budd has done to help me...a difficult medical case.
