My local fellow foodie recommended this restaurant, and when others learned about dinner plans, we quickly had a crowd join. The experience exceeded the already lofty expectations -- the food is phenomenal, the service was excellent.
We shared Bao of Pirarucu (like a bao meets the best filet of fish you ever had), Ant Saúva (creamy, crunchy, delicious), crunchy pirarucu strips (if you get only one app, get this), pirarucu belly, tambaqui band on the brasa, and matrinxã roast on banana leaf. The pirarucu strips and matrinxã were my favorites. All of it was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked.
The staff was helpful throughout, from answering questions to making suggestions to explaining what each dish was and even table-side prep. A couple of minor mixups with drinks were quickly rectified, and we never felt neglected nor interrupted, even on a full house night.
