It was late in the evening and not knowing the area well we stopped in here for dinner seeing as they offered a Sunday roast dinner.
There's not really much to say about this place. It's very much more a bar than a restaurant and the service is as such. I almost felt as though I was bothering them by placing a food order. I opted for the lamb while my husband stayed true to the beef.
When the food arrived, it reminded me of a cafeteria meal that had been slapped together by a line cook. Upon tasting the meal, I think I might have confirmed my suspicions. The food wasn't horrible it was just... blah. Nothing about the meal excited me.
After leaving, we walked further down the street and found a kebab shop and that sinking feeling of... oh, look what we COULD'VE had spoke volumes to me.
I would have to say that in the two weeks we spent in England, this was probably my worst meal... although my husband quite enjoyed his. Huh. read more
