Went for drinks and a snack Only ordered the fries. Amazing 5/5 All food Thai inspired and would have liked to try more but we really weren't Hungry Drinks: 3/5 I wasn't the hugest fan of their beer options. Maybe a flight option to try multiple flavours. If they had this my apologies it was not advertised. Also better wine selection might help for non beer drinkers. Atmosphere 4/5 cool vibe. Super busy with young crowd however was a very humid day and the overhead fans were not cutting it. Look into bigassfans for summer months. Used to be old fire station. Service. 3/5 male Bartender was very nice, female waitresses were not overly friendly. Water was filled frequently. Nice touch. Bathrooms 5/5 Side note: looked to have a cool event space above

We were pleasantly surprised by this brewery. We came here to kill time and have a beer, then after viewing the menu, we decided to stay for the food. I got the Minor Detail Hibiscus Blonde Ale and it was very refreshing! I'm not usually a "light beer" drinker, but this beer had the most color and it did not disappoint! Hubby had the Paradise Lost Rice Lager and thoroughly enjoyed it. Their food menu is comprised of creative Thai dishes. We shared the Surprised Pig - ground pork / fresh herbs /red onion / jasmine rice, and the Atlantic Cod Larb - fresh herbs/ toasted rice powder/ jasmine rice. Both dishes are very similar in presentation but different in taste. The Surorised Pig is bolder in flavor, and the Atlantic Cod is mild but still very flavorful. The atmosphere is very chill. They have community tables, individual belly tables and a bar all in one big room. Service is warm and friendly. Parking is limited in their lot, but that didn't seem to prevent people from coming. I'd definitely recommend this place to hang, drink and eat!

Really enjoyed this spot for a lovely, chill place to grab a beer plus some unexpectedly delicious Thai bites! We lucked out weather wise so the patio and large garage door were open so everyone could experience the beautiful summer weather. We found a table and were immediately greeted by our awesome server - so attentive and friendly! I ordered their Mexican Lager inspired beer (sorry, can't recall the name, but it is the only one on the menu) and then we ordered some shareable bites including the pork belly, fries, and crab pad thai. The food was excellent all around - hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to it is a close tie between the fries and pork belly. Definitely check this spot out!

Checked out this spot on a rainy afternoon in NFL. The service and food were great. Tried the French fries, pad Thai, and crispy broccoli. The beer is made in-house and great. Waitress let me sample a couple until I settled on my pick. If you're in St Johns and looking for a cool spot to hangout and grab a bite/beer would recommend this place.

This was an unexpected delight for a town in Newfoundland! It was the best food we had the whole trip. The atmosphere was so chill, and the service was excellent. I could spend hours here with a drink and friends! I loved their coffee selections as well. This truly was a gem! I just wish it wasn't thousands of miles away from home. If you are in St. John's, Definitely plan to stop here!

Delicious loaded french fry nachos with an Asian inspired twist. So delicious!!! Pale ale in the background.

O.M.G. I LOVE BB!!!!!! The decor is gorge, the staff is accommodating, the tunes are popping, the food is wicked and the beers are the bomb! I have family that lives in St. John's and I visit every summer. This is just what downtown St. John's needed, I just love the heady beers and the vibe of this place. During my visit I've already been here twice and I foresee going back one more time before I head home. We enjoyed the pilsner, pale, IPA, sour, lager and every single one was dope as hell. The only thing we haven't tried yet is the coffee, it looks heavenly and we will have to get a cup next time. The food is awesome and I love to see more vegetarian options on the menu. Meat eaters.... don't you worry they have many options for you too. During our first visit we enjoyed the french fry nachos and the deep fried cauliflower and it was so good that when we went back the second time we ordered the cauliflower again. I'll be dreaming of the food when I'm back home. The staff was great and very helpful, they even suggested another bar for us to check out Tos.Low! We will definitely take there recommendation. What a great place. The bathrooms are also very tidy and have a very modern look, just like the rest of the place. If you happen to be walking around town and want a refreshments or a snack tuck on in to BB. You'll be happy you did.

Wandered past here as a tourist on a walk down from Signal Hill. The place looked interesting and lively, so we went in for a beer and a snack. Turns out that we stumbled upon a local gem! A big, bright space with large windows. Great beer, and a damn good chicken burger. There was live music happening upstairs. This is a well-styled brewery that makes a statement about the craft beer scene in St John's. Can't wait to be able to visit again on a future trip to NL!

Favourite place to stop by for a beer. I also love their non alcoholic options including the Benjamin bridge zero wine. Very nice ambience and I enjoy their lattes in the mornings, too.

Wanting to refuel after a dizzying hike on the North Head Trail, we ordered the mushroom flatbread, steamed buns, and pierogis.

I worked in the service industry for many years and I Know how important tips are and I , as a rule, tip well. I asked if I could possibly order 2 side dishes and one to share. I was told 'Yes you can but these portions are small' but that's what I wanted .When it came it was exactly what I wanted, small portions. 2 sides for $4.00 each + sharable = Lunch for 20.00 +tax and tip. HAHAHA the joke was on me - My tiny little side orders have now ballooned in price - one was now $8.00 the other $5.50. When I asked the waitress why, she told me the order was upgraded to the higher price - but for no reason- sizes weren't upgraded. Her tip was in my Cup ( 1 cup measure) of $8.00 French Onion Soup and the extra buck fifty on my 'ok' cup of poutine, that I couldn't get cheese curds on.( Not as much as the $6.00 she was gonna get but hey - I had to pay taxes on that !!) As much as I like the ambience at Maccool's, in these times of food being too expensive to buy , this place is living up to that- Fionn's just lost my vote for Great restaurants! Here's how I think the backroom convo went " She thinks she's orderin that little bit?? I'll show her!" Consider me shown and little Miss out a tip - Thanks

Yet even in inclimate weather, the scenic outports, the rural landscape, the friendly residents, and good Irish-influenced music made us feel right at home. Port Rexton beer seemed widely available for purchase in stores (Salted Stout anyone?), so at my suggestion, Gayle and I came in here for Lunch. She knows that Brewpubs are a favorite of mine and I thanked her again for indulging me. Ours was a perfect part of the afternoon. We ordered our delicious beers at the counter, along with delicious grill cheese sandwiches (mine with prosciutto) from the adjacent "Oh My Cheeses" "food truck". We sat comfortably in their "living room" by the fire on this cool and cloudy day. And since we wanted to stay "just a little bit longer" we ordered another round! Service was friendly and welcoming, just like what we experienced throughout our Newfoundland trip. WiFi was good and among the available reading materials was a local "coffee table" book about a Toronto couple who left city life 25+ years ago to start a B&B. They're still here and the title is: Taking a Chance. We can see why they did.
