We went in for the first time a few weeks ago to get some new pillows and sheets and it looked a little worn with a lot less merchandise on the shelves. This store has always been a tight fit on the aisles with little room to turn around and it is still that way but there are some empty spaces on the shelves now. They have curbside pickup if you know what you want and don't want to go in. If you want to shop and compare items it may not be as enjoyable as it used to be.

The store manager is straight forward and blunt at times but with the way people are now a days, can you blame him? He's not rude or disrespectful, he just runs a tight ship and holds his crew to a higher expectation. Every time I walk in I'm greeted by one of the employees asking if I need help finding anything but not in the way they feel like they HAVE to ask but because they genuinely want to help. I saw a few comments from others saying that they are over priced and I would agree but being the only hardware store in a small town just around the corner gives you that advantage and to be fair, they've been there much longer than I can remember. So they are doing something right. I'd consider this store more of an emergency supply to small project store, if you use them as supplier for say, building an addition or even a full house that could be on the pricy side but they do deliver materials at an extremely competitive rate so remember, get a quote on lumber. if you don't like the price, don't be a Karen and try to ruin a local company just because you don't agree with small insignificant things that don't matter. now if the location was absolutely in need of repairs and cleaning I'd post that but just because you may not like how the crew is or the pricing, that is yours to deal with because like myself, and a lot of other locals, we appreciate our local businesses and they have proved that they deserve our Business.

Sure enough, they're generally right. I called before I got there and spoke with Crystal - and experienced top-shelf service. She was genuinely friendly and courteous on the phone - and even more so in person once I arrived. (I called because the apple AND Google maps pointed me in the wrong location. They are on apple yard, about 100 yards from Jackson Bluff). In any case - this place does have it all, and in small and gross quantities alike. I'll definitely return when the needs arise. Now that I mention it....isn't that a fire hazard? Anyway, this Dollar General is pretty large in size and not over loaded with unorganized inventory. The staff are always friendly and helpful and visible just in case you have a question or concern. Here you can find great deals on everyday buys. Be sure to download the app to your smartphone and get the digital coupons. These help to make already inexpensive products even cheaper and an added plus for manufacture coupons if you don't get the Sunday paper! Take note of a frequent coupons for $5 off any purchase of $25 or more. (TIP: Be sure to have the cashier take this coupon off PRIOR to any manufacture coupons.) Yesterday I asked for a key to the bathroom from the lone cashier and she handed me one to the mens room. Fortunately a different employee was back there and said it was fine to use. Later, when rounding a corner, a merchandise post scraped my armed cutting it. At checkout, when I told the same cashier about the incident, she didn't respond so I repeated myself. She said "I heard you" and kept ringing up. She was so awful that the customer behind me loudly said "RUDE!" Such a shame that a paid employee has zero consideration for customers much less having her employer's back. A small child could seriously injure their head, the liability is there waiting to happen. This is a WALL of unsafe conditions. I'm posting a picture of the prongs from the side, they need to be taken care of it and the cashier shouldn't wear a necklace with her name on it if she wants to behave this rudely.
