Saloon and gift shop

What a great experience! We enjoyed staying in a covered wagon. It was definitely nostalgic feeling, but more of a "glamping" experience due to the fridge, microwave, coffee maker, shower and toilet. The A/C was nice and cold!! Initially the sewage stench was foul when the shower turned on, but after a minute it dissipated and was fine. We didn't interact with much staff as the email gave all the info we needed to get in, but the people I did interact with (lady on the phone for reservation) and (man at gift shop) were very accommodating and friendly. The grounds were simple and beautiful, I'd stay here again.

I found this place by accident and would up staying for the weekend. Me and Chase made me feel like I was at home immediately but the tiny house experience is so unique. It evokes a childlike excitement when you walk in with all the adult amenities. The "general store" sells alcohol and snacks and has 2 pool tables. ... love the rustic feel.

What a nice hidden gem. Great campground with different campsites, tiny homes and wagons to rent. The donkeys are so cool. The haunted trail trough the orchard was awesome!! Great staff! Thank you Todd. Steve and Misty

Stayed at site M3 based on the campsite next to us having a sign that said M4. No sign at our spot. Check in on a Tuesday and out on Friday. This campground has so much potential; it's a shame that things go sour for the amenities. The bathroom and showers were disgusting. We turned on the water in the showers and sink, but no hot water even after running for a good five minutes or so. The weather was cold for two of the days we were there, and with no hot water and disgusting showers, we had to go into Julian and get a hotel room at Julian Lodge which btw had great staff and good rooms. We went back to the campsite on Thursday knowing we didn't need to shower so we only had to deal with the toilet which wasn't as bad. It wasn't until Friday when someone came to clean them. And their standard of 'clean' was abysmal. Admittedly, there were only two campsites in use, but still would have been nice to know they cared about us tent camping customers enough to clean every day like most campgrounds do. Didn't get to check out the saloon and general store areas as the hours are so limited we were gone before they opened at noon and closed when we returned at 5:30. Oh and it's only open Thurs thru Sunday. We were booked Tuesday to Friday, so it was only open for one day before we left town. Enjoyed the wild turkeys; that Tom was so handsome! The stream was nice to hear when the wind wasn't blowing too much. Seriously question the validity of all those great reviews. Maybe they weren't camping and didn't need to use the campsite facilities? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR TENT CAMPING unless you share the owner's standard for cleanliness in their bathhouse.

So cute

It is beautiful here. We rented a tiny house and next time we will stay in the covered wagons. Loved the donkeys. Brandon was super helpful.

Bottom of one shower

The campsites here are OK, but the bathroom and shower facilities are a nightmare. Disgustingly dirty. No paper towels or hot water in the bathroom, filthy conditions. The showers were too gross to even use, and when we tested the water, couldn't get any hot water anyway. Trash hasn't been emptied in ages. Only a few other campers here, so definitely didn't fill the trash in just a few days. Their tiny houses might be OK, but if you have to use the facilities, forget it. Also, their store is not open Monday thru Wednesday, so don't count on being able to buy anything you may have forgotten. We were here 4 days and had to rent a hotel room on night just to get a shower.

I'm in the reefer madness tiny house

Appreciated that there were some heat lamps available during the evening. I will say that there was a lot of confusion randomly throughout the day that seemed to be an issue with communication. After the wedding the couple wanted to have an after party with some of the guests and had some extra food sent to the main house. I was staying in the meadow house and preparing to get ready for bed, when someone came in saying that the after party was at our house. Apparently there was no communication about not allowing food in the main house, which is understandable; however, folks staying in the house were unaware and it was frustrating to hear that the maid of honor was told to gather the food from the main house herself to the meadow house (which is a steep hike in heels, in the dark, after a long day of participating in the wedding). Thankfully the groom came with a golf cart to help her. It just seemed like pretty poor communication and lack of support, which is highly unfortunate. Adjustments could have been made in advance had folks from the wedding been notified. Guests had fun regardless and those of us who were in the wedding party really appreciated being able to stay on property. The amenities were nice (shower essentials, robes, kitchen essentials, hair dryer, steamer, etc) and we liked being able to stay in property. It provided for a lot of great photo ops. It's such a beautiful venue I'll give it 3 stars, but communication could certainly be improved.

I believe he was the owner; but he was very hospitable. They have unique wines infused in whiskey barrels. We were greeted by "Whiskey" the cat and as we were told apparently he was a stray and greets everyone as they arrive which was cute. They have misters which helped a lot with the heat.

Called 20+ Vineyard and put my requirements and was chose Crystal hill as my choice, I am so glad I made that decision. Best wine, amazing scenery, very private, kid friendly, pet friendly most of all sweetest Staff you will ever find. This is the best winery of Ramona by far and exactly what we were looking for. The view is stunning and beautiful view, atmosphere is very relaxing. Wine choices we were excellent, Excellent wine, especially the whiskey barrel wines! Wine Choices: We initially ordered wine flights, double and singles an we choose the below bottles from there. 1. 2016 Stone Lake Merlot 2. 2016 Whiskey Stone Lake Merlot 3. 2019 Malbec Rose 4. 2017 Whiskey Rose They even have food; their flatbread is amazing too. The Staff and owners were very nice, as we were having good time Scott the owner took the kids, around 10 of them to a short hike and showed them around the property and vineyard, kids had good time while adults were drinking up. Meanwhile Kristy engaged the smaller kids. It was all fun and everyone had fun. Special kudos to the lovely bartenders. This was an early birthday gift to myself, and honestly, nothing could have been more meaningful. Our group was led by the founder, Wendy, along with another amazing educator whose name I regretfully don't remember. Both were absolutely wonderful, you could feel how much they care for and understand each animal through the knowledge, enthusiasm, and respect they shared with us. The groups are small, maxing out at eight people, which makes the experience feel personal and intimate. Before the otter swim, we met about seven other animals, including a sloth, capybaras, fennec foxes, ring-tailed lemurs, and more. We were even able to feed, pet, and interact up close with many of them, which made the tour around the property both educational and heartwarming. And then of course, the highlight of the day: the Otter Swim. We got to spend time in the water with three playful otters, and I can now officially say I've petted an otter (flat hand, of course)! They had no concept of personal space, swimming all around us, climbing on our arms, and using us as launch pads back into the water. Watching them play and interact up close was beyond adorable. It was truly a 10/10 (or more like 1,000,000/10) experience, and I would--and hopefully will be back again someday. Parking: They have a decently sized lot available Bathrooms: Both port-o-potties out front, and 2 proper restrooms within the facility
