Down to 1 hour per night, I realized that I needed to do something to allow my body to have restful sleep. Tossing and turning for hours, I would resort to watching stupid late night TV shows, only to have commercials tout amazing sleep aids. I went from the natural ones to more powerful prescription type sleep aids. Nothing worked and some made the situation worse. My wife had gone to Sari and received a lot of relief from pain and dizziness due to a brain injury fall. She mentioned to me that Sari may be able to help me sleep. After the first 1 hour session, I was able to fall asleep within an hour and stay asleep for seven hours. A week later, after a second session with Sari, I was able to fall asleep within minutes and stay asleep for the entire night. Throw away the meds and call Sari! She is amazing at what she does!

Plaza Healthcare in Scottsdale put profits over patient care…read more My post-stroke boyfriend was admitted to Plaza Healthcare on 07/02/25 after a stroke on 06/06. During the initial interdisciplinary meeting, the entire staff clearly agreed that the goal was to transfer him to Encompass Acute Rehab for the intensive therapy that he urgently needed. However, despite months of repeated requests for the transfer, Plaza Healthcare ignored multiple phone calls, never returned voicemails, and delayed the process intentionally. Case Manager Renae, and Social Worker Jasmine, and Case Manager Jamie consistently failed to communicate or act in his best interest. As the result of these delays Plaza Healthcare kept him until 10/02, which used up all 90 days of United Healthcare benefits. This prevented him from going to Encompass Acute Rehab when he needed it most - forcing him to pay out of pocket for the most critical 3-week acute rehab he should have received through insurance. In my opinion, Plaza Healthcare's intentional delay and failure to coordinate care served their FINANCIAL INTEREST, not the patient's. It felt manipulative, unethical, and harmful. Families should be aware of these practices before placing their loved ones here.

Absolutely phenomenal! Excellent people, treatment, and environment. Will absolutely recommend any…read moreof my coworkers and friends with anything from minor, to severe issues. I could not be more thankful to Spooner Scotsdale and its employees. It's a long story, but something I feel worth telling incase any one else has the same hesitance or is scared. I'm a young man, and I'm not very open to physical therapy with the preconceived notion that it's only for old people, and isn't for debilitating issues like I have, more for stretching and general pain. I was extremely self conscious about coming in, and I am not comfortable with people touching me at all. I also delayed coming in for far too long, which I regret, because it was honestly, I feel, the only thing that can and did help me. I herniated a disk, and couldn't move after lifting something far too heavy. I couldn't move, I couldn't lay down, I couldn't sit or do anything without complete agony in my lower back and leg. I was unable to put on my socks, or do any normal daily tasks. This continued for about 3 days not getting better until my partner forced me to go to Spooner Scotsdale. I was very, very scared that they might tell me it's unfixable, because at the time, I didn't know what the issue was. The drive up was incredibly painful, but so worth it. I came in for an initial evaluation with Geoff, and cried pretty much the second he started talking because the pain was just unbearable, and also worried that this is something I will have to live with for the rest of my life, but Geoff was incredibly reassuring. He closed the curtain to give me some privacy, and calmed me down. He evaluated me, and after some movements and assessing, he explained what's happened. He had some spine models he pulled out to show me what's happened and helped me visualize the issue, and he kept talking to me until I fully understood what was wrong and how it happened. That was incredibly valuable to me, since up until this point, I didn't know anything except I couldn't walk or do anything really. He then helped me do some stretches and exercises, which before his explanation seemed incredibly counterintuitive to me since it just aggravated the issue more, but he explained it in such a way that I could see how it would help and was incredibly appreciative for showing me. I then explained that my schedule is very fluctuating due to work, and it would be very difficult to schedule additional follow ups, which was another big fear for me since I always thought you needed to come in consistently for a month for physical therapy, but he was extremely accommodating and showed me some home exercises and stretches to do, and printed out a sheet to take with me incase I forgot. I am genuinely impressed, that only after an hour with him, that the pain had been relived that much to the point I was able to get a ride home without much issue. Which is saying something, because before my only solution was to take enough ibuprofen to make a pharmacist queasy, which didn't even help the issue, just lessens the symptoms temporarily. I cannot put into words how phenomenal he, and every single person in that clinic was, at every step of the way. I am genuinely thankful to everyone in that clinic, and I will be every single time in the future I'm able to bend over without gritting my teeth. I will be recommending Spooner to all of my coworkers and friends. Thank you:)
