The Banner Lodge is a small guesthouse/hotel in the heart of Ennis. It is within walking distance to everything and they have very reasonable rates. The staff are lovely and you won't find a better deal on accommodation in Ennis. read more

Amazing!! This place feels like home. We were greeted immediately with a warm welcome. As soon as…read morewe saw the room we were left speechless. Like we literately wanted to spend more time here than outside. We decided to extend our 1 day trip to a 2 day trip. One day in the hotel and another for tours. It's absolutely beautiful, calm and peaceful.. especially our room with the river view. Very comfortable!! The shower, omg I wanted to be in there for ever!! The temperature and water flow is absolutely perfect. We even took a little nap in the back yard on the grass. I would recommend this place 100% and I'm definitely coming back. To come here From SNN airport, you can either pay 60eu for a taxi, or rent a car if you are over 25 yo, and know how to drive a manual car, or pay 9eu per person for a bus to the Ennis station, and 9 eu cab ride here. (30eu) Enjoy your stay!!

It very much has a bed and breakfast feel, to the point I'm surprised that's not how they bill themselves. The price absolutely can't be beat, either - friendly, personal service that you would expect from an establishment two or three times as expensive. We arrived a bit late in the evening and were regardless greeted warmly. The rooms are cozily decorated with wood paneling. Plenty of space for your wardrobe, should you be taking an extended stay. The view out over the little creek out back was a treat to wake up to as well. It's a very calm, bucolic scene. I highly recommend paying for breakfast in your reservation as well. It's very well priced. They do ask what time you plan to take your breakfast, so it will be freshly prepared. I found that having the expectation of being at breakfast helped motivate me to get my day started early, too. Ennis is also well positioned for exploring the Burren. We did a lovely loop setting out toward Corofin, Kilfenora, the Cliffs of Moher, and back. No rush and back before it was late, with plenty of time to rest and explore more the next day. Ardilaun Guesthouse is heartily recommended. I can't think of a bad thing to say about it, and I'm not inclined to try.
