The squash courts are a godsend for those of you who like to play regularly as they are a snip at 4.50 for 45 mins off peak and rarely get booked up. There are only four rowing machines but they are in the Spin studio so they are always free. There is even the ubiquitous time wasters in the weights room but if you are patient the equipment eventually becomes free. The only problems are the poor air conditioning in summer which makes it feel that you are doing Bikram yoga and the general crowdedness of the place once the City finishes work at 6.

For my monthly fee I get towels, my own locker, deodarant and shower gel plus my sweaty gym kit is washed for me every day. All for a very affordable cost. The gym itself is fairly basic but there's a good free weights section, plenty (in number and variety) of cardio machines and the classes are really good. They have a load of very knowledgeable personal trainers who are always willing to help out if you've got a question. The only downside is because of where it's located it does tend to get very busy around lunchtime but if you can work around that Slim Jims should be the gym for you
