You can get the meat in varying degrees of spiciness. They also sell different flavours of marinated meat other than tandoori. I've only tried the tandoori one. When you get home, you can either bbq it or bake it in the oven. I sometimes will make a butter chicken sauce and put it on top of the cooked chicken. I prefer the flavour of the tandoori chicken from Mann Bros over the other meat shop in the same strip mall.

This place feels like home (obviously)…read more It carries all things Bangladeshi, so if you're ever craving some paratha, dal puri, Hilsha fish or Bangladeshi music, this is the store to hit up. It has all the spices, condiments, frozen goodies, sauces that you could possibly want, along with a separate cold room for fresh veggies/fruits, a separate butcher area and a separate area for CDs and DVDs. This store is really spacious, and everything is really well organized. You will not feel cramped at all, unlike some other ethnic grocery stores I've been to, where things seem to be falling off the shelves as soon as you pass by and you're sucking in your tummy and holding your breath so as not to disturb the precariously balanced objects on the overloaded shelves. This store is not like that at all - there is enough space to walk around with shopping baskets and/or a friend or two! Spacious isles and a wonderful clean feel to the place! If you ever wanted to buy fresh beef, I recommend this place. The butcher there will cut it for you in big or small pieces - however you request it. The beef I bought from here to *ahem* cook beef curry with (that's right, I can cook) was far superior than the ones I buy from Safeway. Much more tender and flavourful! I also *always* leave with packs of frozen paratha, some traditional veggies and during my last visit, a Bangladeshi rap CD. What can I say? I was intrigued... All in all, even though its a bit out of the way, this is definitely a place to check out if you're ever curious about what Bangladeshi people eat (or listen to). And if you want someone to show you the ropes, give me a HOLLER, I'm your girl!

As most of their competition is in the NE, likely suits the demands of the Indian population deep in the south of Calgary. As well, as I cook mixed curries from scratch fairly regularly - mostly Chettinad curries - that require about 20 spices, good to have a spice store that stocks more spices than some others. Picked up some javitri mace that cooks well with curries, stews, steamed basmati rice, and other home dishes. Seems a good return spot for spices when visit Raj Palace, Midnapore from time to time. Lots of Chinese, philipino, Vietnamese and MORE options. You can get more uncommon things here vs. T and T. So really nice for the variety. Really nice selection of fruits and vegetables as well. Cashier at the lotto counter was super nice too. On to the food court area. AWE-SOME. My mum and I ordered nearly one of everything. The laksa is great, and highly recommend. It is quite a large bowl so good to share if you want to order other foods. We shared the laksa, and also ordered a BBQ Meat/Noodle dish, a Vietnamese sub, the roti chana (DELICIOUS) and the Beef Bibimbap and highly recommend ALL of it. And oops, we also ordered the Peking duck bao. All of it was amazing, and we walked out of there like balloons. We want to come back and try the pho and buffet style food. It all looked great! There is also a screen you can order off of (to avoid the lunch line, as it got pretty busy) and this is where I noticed they had poke bowls. We will definitely be back. Rumour has it they have nasi lemak on certain days. So need to keep our eyes open for that!!! Highly advise you go hungry, and wear loose pants, and leave satisfied.

It is deemed as "Asian" supermarket and does seem to carry a diverse selection but I'd say it is primarily Chinese especially due to the presence of Chinese fast food, roast duck, and pig in the food court area. Said food court area came in clutch for an easy, affordable dinner (pricing determined by weight) after landing at nearby Calgary International Airport. In addition to the usual produce, Asian snacks, seafood and meat sections, they uniquely have a whole aisle dedicated to Asian beauty products which I regarded with high interest. Some of the grab and go items -- namely the baos -- were a little expensive, but overall pricing was so-so. Parking lot was huge making for an easy-going shopping experience.
