The communication as to when our roofing project would be done was very good. Best of all, it was all done in 1 day. Their crew did a very thourough job cleaning up. Why Wait Roofing is an awesome roofing company for multiple reasons. A few years ago we contacted…read morethem to give us an estimate for a new roof. We knew we would need to replace the roof back then due to the age (approaching 20 years). We received an estimate but it was mentioned they thought we had pock marks indicating hail damage. Even though we had had a hail adjuster look at the roof a year or two prior, they recommended we contact the insurance company again. And yes - this time when the adjuster looked we had hail damage and qualified for a new roof. Roof replacement took place during one of the heavier outbreaks of COVID-19. Why Wait Roofing was patient with the supply chain issues, our insurance company, and the entire process as we balanced out the roof replacement time schedule to be the least disruptive to the hectic essential worker schedules of multiple family members. Two years later when we needed to change to a new home owner's insurance policy, Why Wait Roofing provided us with copies of the roofing invoices for the new insurance company. Just recently with the wet spring weather, we called and they came to look at our shed (next to the house) to make sure there weren't any shed roofing issues that were possibly the root cause of some puddling in our basement. And did I mention this business is woman-owned? I've definitely referred Why Wait Roofing to my friends and co-workers! it's an awesome roofing company!

Years ago I hired Roofs R Us to replace my dad's roof and add gutter covers. They did an excellent…read morejob. But the company changed hands since then. So when we needed new roofing, siding, gutters, gutter covers, facia and soffits I obtained several quotes. Erik didn't hesitate to come out to Farmington and quote the project. We had some "slick" salespeople and we had a guy that wouldn't give me a quote (he really didn't like women was my opinion) and would only deal with the insurance company. Erik was professional, honest and not "slick." The price was fair. My test is always the "warm and fuzzies." After a few meetings with Erik, he had my business. Then came the problems. Every color combo for all of the above items had items out of stock, discontinued or something. Erik made a lot of phone calls and several vendor trips. I have no idea how many combos we went through - probably 15 or so. Finally we found a combo that could be put together. YEAH!!!! Erik was patient through all of the "I hate neutrals" moments and several trips of holding colors against the house in different light. Roof install went well and then we had to wait 2 weeks for the siding. The siding installation was completed and they came back and fixed a couple of small items and we were done before Thanksgiving. Erik was around almost daily and even picked up extra FOD on his own. They installed our new lights and Ring cams too. Erik was easily reachable and kept on top of the project and kept me up to date. Very impressed. They were within $7 of the original quote (I think permit fees changed). Very happy and thankful that I selected Erik and Roofs R Us.

Old World Exteriors, which is to say Robin and DeWayne, are not only, "old world" in their…read morecommitment to excellent work but also in their manner of dealing with customers which is with an unusually high level of honesty, reliability, and warmth. They have completed two projects for me to my extreme satisfaction and have consistently displayed a high level of integrity and quality work. The first project was a gutter, roof, and eave repair which they completed with extreme care and craftsmanship, for a very reasonable price. The second, and larger project, was a complete roof and gutter replacement for our 3600 square foot MSM walkout, which included some minor roof repairs to our 1987 construction home. The shingles installed were very high-end composite shakes paired with new color-matched aluminum gutters. The shakes required some special techniques to install, along with a certification from the manufacture, which their team possessed. For the portions of the project where they hired subcontractors, it was clear they would only use work teams from other companies whose leadership shared their commitment to honesty, integrity, and quality. From beginning to end they were patient, helpful, and available. I couldn't be more happy with how the process unfolded nor more thrilled with the outcome. I give Old World Exteriors my unreserved endorsement and recommendation. It's really a magnificent team.

That said I still went ahead with the contract. The fascia was done in a timely manner, and looks nice. No complaints, other than the price hike. The windows were a different story. They came and measured and it took them 8 weeks to finally schedule my appointment. I guess they don't really care about the "smaller" jobs. When they came, they informed me that they had mis measured the larger window and couldn't install it. They re-measured it and assured me they would put a "rush" on it. They installed the other window but didn't have time to wrap it. Fast forward another 6 weeks and I get a call telling me they need to measure the window again. Hello? Didn't you do that 6 weeks ago? Regardless it still wasn't ordered! They had to come and measure again (3rd time now). I'm not a contractor, but you think that if you are you would know how to do that right the first time. Fast forward another 2 months to finally get them to install it. Total time to get two windows installed was 6 months. Unacceptable. Paid them half up front, half upon finished. Paid in cash. Get final paperwork and find they put a lien on all projects. Beware of this company.
