A good friend highly recommended Dr.Bucky at this vet hospital and I'm so glad she did! Got a same day appointment after my vet in NC was booked. Dr. Bucky and his staff are simply amazing!! Kept my precious cat overnight and gave her a few treatments. In no time, she was back to her old self :) I really feel that Dr.Bucky and his staff helped save her life as she's approaching 10 years old. So I left a review about how patient, kind, and understanding the staff here has been known to be. I claimed that this was a provider that you cannot go wrong with.. however, after our visit earlier today, my opinion has changed. About the provider herself these things remain true, as well as the younger receptionist. Unfortunately, the other older receptionist and every one of the techs I encountered today have dramatically changed my opinion and will keep me from returning to this place in the future. Snippy attitudes, literal eye rolls, dramatic sighs, and general lack of empathy and decency. One thing after another, tensions rising, and through it all not once did I have as much audacity as they to behave the way the situation most definitely warranted. Charged for services not rendered. Lack of attention to detail. Dismissive behavior. Inaccurate record keeping.. I could honestly go on. I deleted my previous review before I'd even finished checking out. I have referred friends and family to this center for years.. no more. My recommendation to the new owner? Consider the phrase.. out with the old and in with the new. 2 stars instead of 1 for the 2 devoted staff members mentioned previously..(names of which I intend to include later)

We called to schedule weeks ago and asked for an estimated price, we were told $300 and decided to move forward because we really enjoy the vet overall and have had a good experience thus far. Once we got there (he had taken the medication necessary too) we asked again how much they thought it would cost and said $425ish. We were confused and said oh, we called previously and were quoted $300, they asked if we had a written statement and of course no, we just called. At this point, our dog was already at the vet and had medication to prepare for the surgery, so we felt like we had to move forward. Well, when we picked him up, we were charged $530 for the procedure. Once we asked why it raised, they knocked off $40 for a shot they didn't even give him. If we hadn't asked, we would've paid for something that he didn't even receive. Again, I'm not posting this to be ridiculous or rude, I genuinely have enjoyed our experience with Applebrook. But this instance left us super frustrated and disappointed. I'm only posting a review because we had told them multiple times we were initially quoted $300, and left paying over $500. Just do better about transparent pricing please! On the plus side, the vet techs are very kind and love our dog. Their puppy package has been great for his first year, and I generally would recommend them!
