We needed our freezer ice cube dispenser fixed. George came out and tried something that didn't work. He came again and fixed it at no charge. We had someone come out before George and he said it would cost over $1000 to fix. Plus he said we should just get another refrigerator. Called around to a number of appliance repair companies desperately needing someone to come fix my washing machine which hadn't been draining for a few days. George called me back right away, gave me an estimate over the phone, and was able to come to the house a couple of hours later. Turns out the pump was clogged and didn't need to be replaced. Very disappointed. Was having problems with washer dancing across the floor when spinning. We are now on a fixed income, in past years when we had a problem we would just replace the appliance. Trying to be frugal, I noticed my neighbor had an appliance repairman come to help with one of her appliances. I asked who she had and she told me Banceu. when I asked her if she was satisfied, she told me he was a nice guy but he had charged her $100 to empty a tray under her fridge. Since there aren't a whole lot of choices for repairmen and the reviews I read seemed to be pretty good I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. We had to wait two weeks for him to come out. I had given him the model number so he brought parts with him, assuming that was what it needed. He didn't actually check to see what was going on just busied himself putting on the new parts. he ran water, with no clothes, in the washer, spun it out and said it was fixed. He charged us $250 and left. I, of course, right away did laundry. Guess what? The washer danced across the floor like it had been doing, The washer was not fixed, in fact it was the same. My husband called right away, leaving a message to contact him. Later in the afternoon he called , my husband told him the machine was no better. He set an appointment to come in a couple days to look at it. This time we did put clothes (towels) in it and it danced across the room. He looked at it and basically said it shouldn't be doing that. So he said the drain pipe wasn't getting enough air, so we loosened that up. Continued running the washer, dancing and all. He stopped it an rearranged the towels and spun it out. Same thing I had been doing before he came. He than proceeded to tell us nothing was wrong with the machine, just to run bigger but not heavier loads and to rearrange the clothes if it didn't spin right. Same thing I had been doing before he came. So now we are $250 poorer, with a washer that doesn't work. Going to go shopping for a new washer which is what we should have done to begin with. I definitely would not recommend this company. The guy IS nice but nice don't get it. read more

What an outstanding experience having them handle a dryer element replacement not only did they diagnose the problem within minutes they also had a replacement element on hand and I'm back in the laundry operation in less than an hour I highly recommend this company for anything appliance repair. read more

George came when he said he would. My fridge wasn't cooling but the freezer was fine. Checked utube and figured it was the evaporator fan. I wasn't gunna fix that. When George came out he found the problem was a bad connection. Bam! Problem solved without a big part replacement charge which he easily could have done. Honesty! I have a disappointing dishwasher (Kenmore is not what it used to be). I called Banceu's Appliance because he came highly recommended on nextdoor.com, by my local neighbors. He found the source of one leak, we didn't even know about, the first visit. Some clamp, on the incoming hose, was busted and leaking all over the floor, behind the kick panel. I had no idea. It could have been very bad, had I not noticed another, dripping leak, coming from the left side of the front door panel. He charged me for the first visit, and came back out within a day when I called again, to say it was still dripping. He recommended I replace the gasket inside the door. He said I could do it myself for less than what he would have to charge...nice to see that kind of honesty. So I did, and I went and put the dang thing in backwards, so called him again. He came out and flipped it around...no charge. Within half an hour, I was calling again, as the door was still leaking. He came out again, and after spending some time looking inside the door, watching it run, etc., figured out the door or tub is just a tad warped, so it's not sealing like it should. He could have charged me multiple service fees, but as the issue was still a leak, and he's a nice guy, he did not. He has been patient and honest and been a good listener, while helping me figure out what the heck is going on. I would definitely recommend him for any appliance repair. My 6-year-old GE side-by-side fridge had been acting up for several years. Ice would build up at the bottom of the freezer, causing water to leak onto the floor. Had to keep a towel on the floor in front of the freezer to soak up the water. Besides that, the ice maker wouldn't stop making ice when the bin was full and it wouldn't dispense cubes - just crushed ice. We kept it turned off most of the time until iced tea season arrived. I knew 6 years was iffy as far as whether to repair it or buy a new one, so I decided to have a refrigerator repair tech take a look to see if the unit was worth fixing. I found Banceu's Appliance reviews on Yelp and decided to make an appointment. George arrived at exactly the appointed time and spent a little over 30 minutes on my fridge. He ensured that the drain line that was causing ice build-up and water leakage was clear. He also found a malfunction in the ice maker that could only be fixed by installing a new unit. He estimated the total repair cost would be over $300. I decided to continue using the fridge without replacing the ice maker now that the ice/water leak is fixed. I can deal well enough with the ice maker even though it can't be left to run automatically. Meanwhile, I will be on the lookout for a good buy on a fridge that is NOT a GE. At my request, George also gave some suggestions about brands that seem to hold up better. If you'd like to know what brands he mentioned, it feels more appropriate for me to let him be the one to have that discussion with you. I am very happy with the result of the service from Banceu's. For the cost of the service call ($59), my water leak was cleared and I know I'll need to replace this fridge sooner rather than later. I would strongly recommend using Banceu's Appliance. read more
