I was able to reschedule for the morning. The waiting room was virtually empty and I still had to wait 35 minutes from my appt time before I could meet with the nurse. Recently, I contacted the office to request a refill for a medication I use sparingly and responsibly. Instead of scheduling a visit or explaining office policy, I was given an inaccurate and stigmatizing explanation involving "regulations," and was told the medication could not be refilled. When I followed up in writing for clarification and asked about scheduling options, I was abruptly informed that the practice was "not able to meet my medical needs" and that I should find another provider. There was no prior communication about changes in prescribing policies, no treatment plan, no continuity of care, and no offer to transition properly. I was simply discharged from the practice by email. If you struggle with anxiety, trauma, or need a provider who communicates clearly and supports patients rather than shaming or dismissing them, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Medical care -- especially mental health -- deserves better than sudden termination with no warning or explanation. I also noticed significant provider turnover during my time there. Had I stayed, I would have been on my third provider in two years. The care in…read morethe beginning was fine but as I came more frequently, I received multiple billing issues (billing me for days i was never in the office), unprofessional calls from front office staff (yelling at me for not coming in an 2 hrs early so a provider can leave early), long wait times, constant issues with my provider and prior authorizations that would take weeks to even get sent out. I was receiving gender affirming care there but was constantly misgendered with incorrect pronouns by my doctor, office staff and on my chart paperwork. I have since switched offices and have had no issues with the same prior authorizations for the same medications with my new different doctors office. Healthvisions also ignored my many requests for my medical records until i threatened legal action. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE!

I did a Google search to find a doctor nearby and found Dr. Mehfoud. When I went into the office, the staff was friendly and sociable, and the other patients seemed to enjoy the office as well. After a very short wait, I was sent back to the doctor. Most of the time, when you go to see a doctor, you end up waiting in the waiting room forever, then they send you back to the room, where you end up waiting a lot longer. Dr. Mehfoud was in the room within ten minutes, and instead of making me feel rushed or like he was in a hurry, he was very thorough and asked a wide range of questions to diagnose. I appreciated his manner and thought he did a great job of discussing treatment options with me. He is a wonderful doctor and really seemed to care about his patients. I will be keeping him as a PCP!

I went in for a preliminary, meet and greet kind of checkup. The staff was super welcoming and everything was running smoothly to the point that I didn't even have a chance to sit down in the waiting room. The nurse called me back as I was standing at the "window". Vitals were taken and I was asked the usual intake questions. The nurse had me get into a gown and I wasn't even able to check my email before the doctor was knocking to come in. I was very impressed by the comprehensive depth of questions asked during this first appointment. Dr Mansilla is soft spoken and empathetic. She is deeply inquisitive, her aim to gather as much medical history as possible. She tops it all off with a comforting sense of humor. I need to say that my first choice for a new Medicare friendly practice was the one my husband has been going to for years. It is much closer to my house. I learned that practice is not taking new patients for several months. My initial plan was to see Dr Mansilla only once because I was in need of a prescription refill. Change of plans!! I will be staying right here. I'm looking forward to a long and healthy relationship with these fine people! Oh, I almost forgot to mention how quickly my lab results were available. 48 hours quick.
