I really do love this company. I am a doctor, and I recently relocated from out of state. With my insanely busy schedule & no time to come into Houston & apartment hunt, I had to rely on finding a place online, that I would likely not see it until I moved in...scary thought. But, to my pleasant surprise, I found the perfect company, not only to help my find a place while I was living out of state, but that understood exactly what I was looking for. I called Bamboo & spoke to Clay, who was so very personable & sweet. I must admit, I was very picky about what I wanted in an apartment, and doubted I could find exactly the right place. But Clay began working on my specific requests including apartment amenities, neighborhoods I preferred & even what types of places I wanted near me based on my lifestyle & daily activities. Within no time at all, Clay had narrowed down the vast number of apartments in Houston, to a few that were very specific to my taste- I could hardly believe it. Once I picked a few of my favorites, we did a virtual tour. I was able to see all of the details of the apartment & the property. I was even introduced to the apartment manager via live chat-it was great. I later sent my mom to take a final look before making my final decision since she lives in town. Clay & the apartment management were so great to her-she could not stop talking about the customer service. In the end, I was able to pick the perfect place & sign a lease within a week. A few weeks later when I moved into the apartment, I was amazed at how great the place was- Clay really knew what I was looking for. The apartment itself, as well as the property & neighborhood were perfect! It is rare to find such great, quality service and a company that works hard to make the process as easy & hassle free as possible. Thanks to Clay Joyner who helped me navigate Houston and find an apartment I am really happy with - location, price, and amenities. He was super prompt in responding, and on the ball. When I arrived at the first property we were viewing, he had a list of top picks according to my preferences. He had also reached out to the property managers beforehand to pinpoint units that would be of interest according to what I was looking for so that no time was wasted. Clay was also aware of the current specials each complex was running and advocated on my behalf to get the best price. Bottom line, he was willing and ready to do whatever it took to accomplish what I was set out to find. Clay made what started off as an overwhelming situation (when I tried to find an apartment on my own via Craigslist etc. and driving around being somewhat new to the area) a seamless and smooth experience. It was such a relief! For example, Clay genuinely offered to pick me up and take me around all day/as long as it took so I didn't have to rent a car or try and navigate the area and Houston traffic on my own. He consistently helped me weigh the pros/cons of each place and would map out my commute to work; basically he helped me keep focused and on task after looking at a million places. When we took a break from our apartment search he insisted on picking up the lunch tab. And last but not least, I signed a lease a few hours before needing to catch a flight back home and no joke Clay offered to take me to the airport which was completely out of his way. I have never used an apartment finding service before, and honestly I was very hesitant to before this experience. I am beyond thankful that I did and will never go back to using Craigslist, etc as this made navigating a new city and finding an apartment that fit my specifications fun and almost easy, instead of stressful and exhausting. Usually not a reviewer for most things, but when it comes to something like buying a house, let me give you peace of mind. Use the only name synonymous with the best......Kerri Truelove! I had been in and out of the apartment lifestyle and was tired of the "roommate" experience. I knew it was time for a place of my own. But no one ever tells you about the ugly truth that goes into buying a home. The constant searching, the paperwork, the filing, the waiting, more waiting, etc. I thought it was something I could do myself. But I was wrong! So I had to bring in someone who could help. When I first called Kerri and asked her if she would help me with this, I had no idea what I was getting into. She was like Siri on steroids! Before I could even ask the question, she was already answering and reassuring me that she had taken care of it. It was amazing. And if she hadn't already done it, she was knocking on my door with the paperwork that needed to be sent in, regardless of the time or her situation. It was gonna get done! She had mapped out a few houses in the area in which I was searching. Some on the lower end and some on the higher end. But with each house, she was honest with me. She wasn't trying to hurry me along to get her cut and move to the next customer. I was her priority and she made sure of it. I finally settled on a house i wanted and Kerri worked diligently to get in touch with their realtor and handled the negotiations. She took the proper route and not cut any corners to make sure I got the house. Had I not personally experienced the hard times trying to do this my myself, I would have thought it was all unicorns and rainbows. Kerri was that good!! Very painless because she took care of everything for me. She even came to the closing as support. She still calls a year later to find out how things are going. I HIGHLY recommend Clay Joyner! When I first began apartment hunting, I was completely unfamiliar with the city of Houston. I scouted out apartments by driving around until I found a visually-appealing complex and then inquiring within about pricing, amenities, and availability --- obviously not the best way to go about looking for a new place to live. On a whim, I answered a craigslist ad about apartment that looked appealing, and I'm SO glad I did, because that's how I found Clay! I could not have asked for a better or more pleasant experience than I had working with Clay. He responded to my initial inquiry (which I sent late at night) by the very next morning. After arranging to meet up later that morning, Clay took me to a wide variety of apartments to gauge my preferences in terms of location, features, and layout, in order to help me make an informed decision about what particular combination would best suit my needs. He also compiled a list of several more to see the following day. I had one very particular criteria that's not easy to find in an apartment (private garage.) However, not only did Clay find me an apartment that had PRECISELY what I wanted (and more!), but he got me an amazing deal there as well. The level of attention to detail and professionalism Clay exhibited was second to none; not only that, but he's a genuinely friendly and accommodating person, and made my Houston apartment-hunting journey an absolute pleasure. It is hard to overstate how fortunate I feel that we found Christopher to help us locate a rent home from the apartment we are currently living in. I was a little nervous going in, because my mother and I have only lived in Katy Tx for a year, but I didn't have any leads or referrals when it came to selecting an agent. But thanks to online reviews, we were able to meet up with Mr. Fagan, and it was an easy decision to move forward with his assistance. Chris is smart, professional, and knowledgeable, of the renting process. He is also funny (sometimes LOL) and incredibly likeable. Once we got going he was determined to find the best home we would love, I came to appreciate how valuable it was to be working with Realtor that I just liked so much as a person. What a complete chore this process would have been if we just would have looked online line in an already stressful situation. And perhaps most importantly, Chris gave an HONEST opinion on each home we looked at. It wasn't a situation that every home was perfect so that we would rent faster. I once toured a home with him that more or less fit what we were looking for, but it smelled quite strongly of cigarette smoke. I can not live in a that kind of atmosphere day in and day out and if Chris was only focused on "closing" our deal and moving on to the next client, he would have just tried to strongly advice to take the great offer. But Chris had my best interest in mind. That's the kind of trust we relied on with comfort when we needed to decide. We didn't get the house we were aiming for due to the owner going with another applicant who applied before us and since time was up for us we just wound up renewing our current lease but I will be recommending Chris to everyone I know. Thanks to Andrea Lightfoot, relocating to Houston has been easy, and I am confident that I found my dream apartment! I am never one to use locator services, but as I looked online, I figured it wouldn't hurt to get some guidance. Bamboo's online videos and web resources persuaded me to try them out. I was moving to Houston from a different city, and so I flew out there but only had a few days to find an apartment. Knowing that my time was limited, I did some preliminary research as best as I could online. I thought I knew of every apartment that met my requirements in my preferred locations. I could not have been more wrong! Within a few hours of contacting Andrea, she sent me a list of great places that met my requirements and more. Her list also included personalized comments about specific properties and some helpful bits of information that I wouldn't necessarily find online. Andrea was able to meet with me when I arrived to Houston and took me to tour some of the properties. I'm just gonna get straight to the point. Clay Joyner is a great individual, I really had a great time during my apartment hunting, and I could not have asked for a better agent. First of all, he was always available. Even if I emailed him in the middle of the night or during weekend, he would respond back to me. Clay was very attentive to what I wanted and needed. I can clearly tell he was looking out for what would be best for me. He was very knowledgeable about the area including not just the apartments he was showing, but also the surroundings of the apartments. Clay seemed to have maintain a great relationship with many of the management staffs, and was very courteous and professional when interacting with them. This was a great benefit especially when it came to negotiation, and I would say Clay is a great negotiator. He knew how to get the apartment managements to offer a better deal or provide extra perks. I had a large list of apartments that I wanted to see, and it actually took 3 days covering all of the apartments I wanted to see plus the ones Clay has recommended. I know that I'm not his only client, but he made sure that I felt like he was completely focused on helping me find the right place for me. Again, to highlight how much attention he paid to my preferences, at the end of the day the two apartments that was on my final list were both Clay's recommendation, not the extensive list of apartments I have prepared. I settled with an apartment that I am very excited to move into, and I give a lot of credit to him. This is my first yelp review and a well-deserved one. Clay Joyner is your man. I am moving from Illinois and while I had the option of utilizing company relocation services, I decided to use my own. Clay was awesome. Not only did he keep me constantly updated with information prior to my home search trip, but he provided my significant other and I with private a tour of Houston as well as taking the lead in introducing us to the apartment leasing offices. He made us feel welcome in Houston and even drove us around during the search! We were able to cover 9 complexes within 1 day. We even had time leftover to drive through the Museum District area. I highly recommend Clay and this company. My significant other and I were highly impressed with the knowledge and the enthusiasm during our trip. Rather than a chore, the trip felt like an exciting way to learn about the city. Clay, conscious of my budget and my list of must-haves, played on my side. He made sure to try to get the most specials and deals as he could. He even did extensive research for me to figure out the commute time from the different complexes and reminded me of my must-haves whenever I got carried away by shiny things. I did end up choosing an apartment that was a bit over my budget, but that was due to my own preferences and my willingness to upgrade to a different floor plan. However, Clay made sure that I weighed the pros and cons of choosing a more expensive monthly rent before making a decision. I honestly don't know what I would have done without Wendy Blevins Scheurer from Bamboo. I moved to Houston from Ohio 2 months ago, and knowing nothing about Houston beforehand, I was completely overwhelmed with my apartment search. I saw an ad on Craigslist so I submitted an inquiry on the Bamboo website out of curiosity. Within just a couple minutes I received a call from Wendy and we talked a little more about what I was looking for. Over the next few days we nailed down a list of apartments that had the right location/amenities/price range for me. My boyfriend and I recently moved to Houston from Los Angeles and we couldn't have found a better agent to help us with the apartment hunt in a city completely foreign to us! Our guy was Toby Linville. I stumbled across one of Toby's Craigslist apt postings a few months ago with low to nonexistent expectations of hearing anything useful back. Not only did I get a quick response, but in the following days of us going back and forth he provided fun, honest (sometimes very comically so! ha), HELPFUL feedback. Toby was different in that I felt like I was talking to a friend who was excited to have me visit and wanted to show me around town based on MY interests. He made the whole process fun!! Our weekend trip out here to look at apartments was a breeze. Between a Friday/Saturday, Toby took us to 5-7 places, all of which were amazing complexes. He kept us laughing and provided such valuable insight to the Houston neighborhood scene, apartment market, and individual property personalities. Toby Linville!!! Absolutely fantastic service. I was recently transferred within my company to our center located in Upper Kirby. I am not originally from Texas and have only lived in the suburbs during my three and a half years here. I am currently in the process of relocating to Houston for business purposes from New Jersey. You could almost classify these two as two different parts of the world. I'm from Florida, but know nothing about Texas or Houston so I definitely needed some assistance to find the ideal place in my new area. I had to move out to Houston for work due to relocation and had never been nor knew any area that would be nice or fun to live in. I came into contact with Alison Coy from Bamboo leasing and she couldn't have been more helpful. I previously lived in Houston during the summer months while I was an intern. When I decided to relocate permanently, I already had an idea of where I wanted to live and what sort of criteria I was looking for. A friend recommended Brian from Bamboo and I emailed him a very detailed wishlist. He literally emailed me back right away, letting me know he was up for the challenge and he would compile a list for me by the following day. I figured the true test was whether or not I was sent a random list of places I wasn't even interested in, since I did know the area and exactly what I wanted.... and Brian definitely passed that test. He really took my wishlist seriously and only sent me places that met the criteria, including some of my random requests, like finding me a place where "young people" live (I'm 25). I was amazed at all the places he found that I had never even heard of; and he made personal comments on all the listings so I knew he didn't just throw together a bunch of stuff without even considering my requests. When I decided on a place, he even put me in touch with a leasing agent he knew at the community, who was equally awesome and helped me in securing my lease remotely, as I had to sign a lease on short notice and without taking a trip to Houston. Andrea Lightfoot I recently relocated from Denver to Houston, and as always it can be an intimidating and stressful time in ones life. I really didn't know where or how to start........Internet. Before I begin, let it be known that I already had an idea of where I wanted to live and which apartments I was interested in. I contacted Bamboo Realty to see if there were other spots I didn't know about and was fortunate to find Toby Linville. Like any other realtor, he helped me find a place to live. Toby sent me the standard emails one would receive along with a suggested time to meet up. I think that is typical with all of the realtor places. That being said, I would recommend Toby Linville because of his real-ness. We talked for a bit at his office and I guess he got a feel for what I was truly wanting because I ended up signing a lease that same day. I honestly felt as if I had known Toby for years. He didn't force me into anything, instead he asked for feedback so he could better assist me. When I didn't understand something, he was gracious enough to explain it in simple terms. I could tell he was passionate about his job and everyone seemed to love him. On our way to the apartments, he even pointed out the hotspots so I would have a better idea of the layout . I am originally from Memphis, TN and e-mailed David Rainey a week before I got to Houston. He responded back immediately and was very welcoming and very willing to help! I cannot stress this enough- He was a miracle and a Godsend for me and my mother. We were in town for a just a few days and needed to find an apartment ASAP. He came and picked us up at our hotel and drove us around for over six hours helping us find a place! Incredibly patient, accommodating, and resourceful. I can't believe I had wanted to do this search on my own-what was I thinking! Please do not go apartment shopping alone in Houston. It is a huge city, very confusing streets and interstates and totally overwhelming for someone who has not been living there. Well it looks like there is no shortage of fabulous reviews for Bamboo Realty... BUT I do want to mention how wonderful our agent Clay Joyner was, as he made our transition from Austin to Houston as smooth as it could have been!! From the start Clay was extremely responsive to every question we had. Unlike many realtors, he was very prompt in his responses and had no problem picking up the phone.... which is wonderful since no one seems to believe in THAT form of communication anymore! My husband and I stayed a weekend in Houston to find our perfect apartment and from start to finish Clay was as professional as you could get. He picked us up at our hotel, spent endless hours showing us townhomes, luxury apartments and rental homes, and even took us to lunch! My employer originally set me up with an apartment locating agency; however, the lady I was put into contact with took several days to reply to an email and was not very good at listening to my requests. I decided to go on Yelp and find another agency. Based upon the previous reviews I read, I decided to contact Bamboo. Alison promptly contacted me by email after my initial inquiry on the Bamboo website. I had contacted Bamboo after business hours, but received a response within a half hour. She quickly put together a detailed listing containing apartments that met my requests. She was always extremely prompt in addressing my questions and very professional. Because of the information I received from Alison, I decided to lease an apartment sight unseen as I was unable to come down and visit from Chicago. I just moved into my apartment and it is just as wonderful, if not better than Alison described.
