We also used to travel from Cranbourne (a good 40 minute journey) to get these noodles. Providing 28 different menu options, the "noodle man" does a fantastic job every time. My choice is Sambal Chilli Rice (number 28 for those playing along at home), it contains rice, chicken, sambal chilli and mixed vegetables (which vary depending on the time of year). The quality is top shelf, and your meal is ready within 5 minutes most times. I often call ahead so that it'll be ready, and it is still piping hot when I arrive home 25 minutes later. You can also eat in, either with a bowl of your menu choice or in the box (my preference). Noodle Canteen is definitely worth travelling for and I will be back again and again! P.S. Don't go in expecting amazing, but if you're looking for something that's OK and fills the gap, step on in. The lady serving is always happy so perhaps that's what keeps me coming back. Beware though the spicy cold noodle is really just an appetizer (or at least it's sized that way) and the sticks won't fill you up either. The bridge noodles though is good enough to share so come with at least 1 friend and you will be able to taste a variety of dishes.

This is of course a great place for lunch if you work in the area or a place to charge yourself with a sushi roll before you head off down the street to do some shopping.
