I came in today with themes of ideas hoping that this business can help showcase some ideas of the elements that I present. I thought that is a fair request being this is their claimed speciality. The woman who was there to help, Anna, was not pleasant. She wanted concrete set ideas and told me, "My problem is you don't know what you want." This is only one of the other rude things I can name. I was standing there self soothing myself and at the same time feeling like I needed to use de-escalation skills that I teach at work. It seems all so ridiculous! As a business, wouldn't you think that a place would try to build rapport with you? Her tone was intense and did not fit the joyful energy I would want when planning for a wedding. I couldn't take it after a while. I am at least glad I made her aware that her tone was not appreciated and that I am leaving. I would not come back and I would not recommend for those still building the vision of your event.

(I purchased a session for my family and another for a soon-to-be mom as a gift). After repeated attempts to reach her, Rose stopped responding. What's interesting is, when you book a shoot with her, she immediately sends you an invoice for full payment -- like within minutes! Sadly, she does not have that same sense of urgency with regard to customer service and follow through. Everything seemed perfect - Rose was available at the last minute and able (for an additional $50.00) to make the trip from Naperville to Glenview (where the party was). She arrived, seemed friendly enough, and took pictures. After the party she informed me that she would have the photos unloaded within two days (wow - super fast, I thought) and a disc with the images would follow shortly via the mail. After two weeks, I had yet to hear anything from Rose or receive the pictures. I called her and send her an email - just checking in (my husband and I didn't mind waiting for the pictures, but had been hoping to use an image as our thank you notes). I did not hear back. I called and emailed her again, and this time I received a short email back saying she had not gotten my messages, but the disc was in the mail. The disc never arrived. My husband and I have contacted Rose numerous times (via email and phone), filed a complaint with The Better Business Bureau, and contacted a lawyer (as a last resort). We have no pictures of our son's fifth birthday and are out $250.00 - and yet Rose Alene continues to post Craigslist ads and update her website.
