The location gives a perfect view over the bay which is especially enjoyable during breakfasts. The whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming - even at my friends' place I did not enjoy it so much - I felt as if I was back at home, in the countryside. There is a lot of attention to details: from very good shower products to tea set in the room. The bed deserves special remark - I haven't slept so good for really long. I won't go much into detail such as Maggie's adding more sweets for the tea in the room when I ran out of them or helping with bed when we were out, my recommendation is - just go and see for yourself. I myself was able to completely relax and this was the thing I craved for. If I had more time I would be happy to stay here for a month or longer. Maggie and Willie are really kind and friendly, always responsive and ready to give some useful advice for traveling or anything else. We wish them all the best and enjoy life as much as we enjoyed our stay at their place. Warmest regards, Ivan & Kate

We stayed at the Seaforth Cottage for 2 nights as part of our Rabbie's 3-Day Isle of Skye tour…read more Rabbie's had chosen this B&B for us, and we were quite pleased. We were in the downstairs double bedroom just to the right of the entrance that faced the harbor. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable, with the exception of the bathroom, which was a wee bit snug (but then again, J and I are pretty tall, and I was 5 months pregnant at the time). We never did manage to get the wifi connection to work, but we did enjoy a little bit of television. The views off the back of the harbor were gorgeous, even with the poor weather. The cottage is decorated with maps of the area and naval souvenirs. Mr. Ian MacKinnon, our host, was a very friendly and generous man. When we arrived, it was sprinkling rain, so he gave us a lift to town, drove around to point out the places that he recommended, and then dropped us curbside at the restaurant of our choosing. When J wasn't feeling well, he offered throat lozenges and medications. He cooked a full Scottish breakfast (eggs, mushrooms, haggis, bacon, sausage) each morning, served on nice china, and with yogurt, cereal, and fruit on the side. It's not a far walk to town, though the driveway is long and not lit, so you'll want to use a flash light or your cell phone to see the path. Turn it off long enough to look up and see the stars! If you're not the type to walk, it was a £3 ride from the taxi stand in the square to the cottage.
