She is the most hateful and rude person I have ever come in contact with....EVER! We always paid our rent on time, never had any complaints from her, yet EVERY time we had to deal with her, she handled it as though we were asking for her kidney or bothering her. Repairs took forever to be done---we went without AC for almost 5 days in the middle of summer right after moving in! I cannot tell you how many times I had to follow up with her on things that should be her job to see through! She clearly hates her job and hates life/people for that matter. When the house we were renting was going on the market, she would never give us 24 hours notice for potential buyers to come view the house (per the written lease) and started showing well before the lease was written that she would. (60 days from lease end) One time I came home to lights on, cabinets open and mud/dirt tracked through out house. I thought we had been burglarized! Once I realized, it was probably a viewing, I text her and asked her if someone had come in, she replied no. There was an appointment set up for the potential buyers appraisal company to come in the following week, and knowing she's a liar, I called and spoke with the owners wife who advised me that they were in fact in the home that day and as a matter of fact, that they were given permission by Darlene to enter.......and were also provided the password to the key box on our front door THAT VERY DAY! It's unclear why Darlene found it necessary to lie, but it did not surprise me that she did it! Thank God, I learned to only communicate with her via text or email, so I had proof of everything I'm writing! When we moved out, I took videos and pictures of the move out condition and emailed them immediately to her since she had another property manager collect our keys. She tried to tell us that we were required to "professionally clean" our carpets and that she would pay for it from our deposit, but it was no where in the written lease!!! (Mind you, there were NO STAINS OR CONCERNS with the move out carpet condition and I even shampooed them myself they night before we moved out.) Our neighbors collected our mail for us since the transfer was going to take a few days after our move out to kick in with the post office, and the neighbors let us know people were in the house right away. (They wanted us to know in case whoever it was checked the mailbox before they could and we couldn't retrieve it.) If it wasn't for our neighbors letting us know this, I wouldn't have been able to get back over there to take photos/video of contractors/remodeling just hours after she said she would have the carpets cleaned with our deposit. After consulting with legal and Darlene's boss and informing them that the new owners already had contractors in there remodeling (within 24 hours of our final inspection/move out) , we did get our full deposit back, but not after she sent us very nasty emails!!! Its ridiculous that I had to even get pictures and video AFTER WE MOVED OUT of the fact that contractors were in the house repainting/remodeling the house, etc, but luckily I was able to inform Darlene that we were not going to a) pay for something not required/written in lease and b) why would we be responsible to professional clean carpets in a house we had proof of that was a construction zone?!?!? I am so glad we never have to deal with this bitter, hateful and lying woman ever again! She should retire and/or go into a profession where she doesn't need any people skills! The thought of her makes my skin crawl and if anyone can avoid voluntarily coming in contact with her in any capacity, you should! Update: Darlene emailed my husband after seeing this review accusing me of "borderline slander." I literally bust out laughing. If she wants me to show all the screen shots and emails, she's really going to embarrass herself and ERA.

Very disappointing to deal with someone who is unresponsive. I feel sure that the home owner of our rental home won't like to learn that Darlene has not responded to our repeated requests for help with home repairs. Not ok to be treated this way.
