He's an osteopath and has an excellent approach which combines medical knowledge and common sense. He explains things clearly and simply, and is funny to boot. He also considers whether medication is really needed, and how strong it should be given the specific circumstances, as opposed to pushing medication strongly. His nurses are lovely as are the front of house staff. Even changes in insurance are fairly smooth. The facility is always clean, quiet and never seems to be in a state of chaos (which I can't say for most other doctors offices I've visited over the years). When I come here I am a person, not a slot filling up time in his calendar. Thanks for treating me with respect and kindness and helping me to get better Dr. Knabel!

I am not one to write reviews but my experience with Dr. Heather Dukes deserves one. I visited Dr…read more Dukes in August of 2021 for back pain from a prior accident, seeking x rays and a diagnosis. Initially, Dr. Dukes was very friendly and we started to go over my prior medical history before we went over the x ray results. She asked me a question regarding the Covid-19 vaccine, which I have not received. When Dr. Dukes became aware of me being unvaccinated, she got up, opened the door, and stood in the hallway. Her friendly personality did a 180 and she began to bash me, saying "You're the reason why so many people are dying", "its all because of people like you", "I will not sign you up for in person therapy since you are unvaccinated" and much more. Keep in mind that we were both wearing n95 masks the entire time. After arguing through the doorway for a few minutes, she closed the door and sent in an assistant to reschedule the meeting via Zoom. I declined and made my out of the office. This was, by far, the least professional interaction I've had with anyone in my life. Would never recommend anyone to Dr. Heather Dukes or her office.

I have only been here twice, but I'm going to give them a 5-star review until they give me a reason…read morenot to. I made an appointment with Monroe Health Network after a series of abysmal experiences with IU Health and Premier Healthcare (which is soon to be owned by IU Health) when I was extremely sick and desperately needed care. I will save the long version of that horrible experience for a separate review, but the short version is that they didn't do some tests that they obviously should have (which I only learned after talking to someone at Monroe Health), and they didn't prescribe me anything at first even though I was extremely sick and in a lot of pain. Then I was prescribed a serious of incorrect antibiotics, given conflicting information about my test results, had antibiotics switched up on me a couple times, didn't get prescribed meds at ALL for an infection I clearly needed treatment for, etc., etc., etc. I also kept being bounced back and forth between the walk-in clinic and my primary care physician -- my PCP kept saying they didn't have any appointments available until June, and the walk-in clinic just recommended I make an appointment with my PCP ASAP. A co-worker of mine ended up recommending Monroe Health Network to me so I gave them a call, and I had an appointment scheduled within days (days!) with one of their nurse practitioners, who was AMAZING. She answered all my questions and totally explained everything that was wrong with me and helped treat me more thoroughly. She referred me to a specialist who could help with a couple of things she knew were beyond her area of expertise, which I super appreciated. I had bloodwork done 24 hours later, and she gave me the names of some of the other doctors there, and offered to get me an appointment with a GYN in the immediate future as well, if I needed it (I don't at the moment, luckily, but have also had a ton of trouble getting those appointments in the past, so that was a huge relief!) They have a walk-in clinic as well, which I haven't used yet, so I can't speak to my experience there. The interior of the building is very clean but slightly outdated. Also, the nurse practitioner did make sure to inform me that I may not see the same doctor every time I go, which in my opinion is an extremely small price to pay not to have to wait a MONTH every time I need to make a doctor's appointment. She took very detailed notes which she uploaded to their patient portal online afterward, so I have plenty of confidence that anyone I see there would be well equipped to help me. If I come up with any constructive criticism to add I will certainly amend this review, but at this point I am just so relieved and grateful for their help. Before contacting Monroe Health Network I literally had my keys in my hand and my shoes on and was about to drive myself to the emergency room, not because I was actually in a life-threatening situation, but because I literally could not find ANYONE else to help me and just wanted to get better. I also ended up asking the Monroe Health nurse practitioner a bunch of questions that I have been putting off for YEARS since it has always been so difficult to get appointments with my former PCP. I always felt like I was inconveniencing them, and as a result, have only been trying to see a doctor if something is horribly wrong, instead of being proactive and seeking preventative care. After going through all this I am absolutely going to avoid IU Health at all costs from here forward and do everything I can to use Monroe Health Network whenever I need a doctor, specialist, or emergency care.

Because of the physician who insisted on doing his own insurance filing and billing, there were always errors. The first thing he asked at each appt was about the billing and insurance, discussing what we had paid or the insurance had paid. Worse, although I saw him monthly, he never remembered me from one appt to the next, nor anything about me. He did not allow staff to record physician's notes on the visit. He mixed up medications that were written, each time asking what conditions we were treated for and the treatment. The time spent on his record keeping seemed to drive his practice. He would rarely examine me. We both had to relocate so were very lucky to find appropriate physicians. Perhaps it was just me but I thought the way he conducted his office and treatment was not beneficial to my health. Nice man, but odd. I had also gone on a well known website and checked for any recommendations or commentary by other patients. There was only one reviewer. He was rated as an excellent physician by them.
