Unfortunately , it seems there is absolutely no organization , communication within the facility from one employee or department to the other. The only personnel that has tried to assist in the problem to correct the situation that has been reported is Mrs. Bishop and Ms. Avanne. I'm not sure if any type of training takes place at this facility for the employees. Not a good experience at all.

We are not the criminals, we love our family members and want to be supportive for them but it's very hard on us when we are constantly picked on or harassed. These so called officers who have nothing more to do then say something about your clothes, jewelry, hair, watches or anything else that they want to pick on you about. They tell you what you can't wear and turn around and let another person go in with it on?? They are nasty and rude"God forbid you ask them a question'. We are constantly treated as inmates rather than visitors. We wait in a line every weekend just to be first in line to see our family members just to be told "Sorry our computers are down, or we're short staffed its gonna be a while". It's not our fault what problems y'all have. We are the ones who suffer! How can it be something "EVERY" weekend? I dread going there, we spend so much money there and our visits are what keeps hope and well behavior in the inmates but yet we are treated soooo bad its horrible.I don't know which I'll be happier for"that my love one gets to come home or I don't have to ever go back to central state prison".

We heard he was involved in some kind of altercation that required for him to go to the hospital. My nephew mom and I called the jail to figure out what was going because we hadn't heard from my nephew all day. That night we spoke with the Watch Commander Captain Wells, she couldn't share much info but she said he was ok. Captain Wells was short with the convo. but she was professional and informational. I came to the jail the next day in person to speak to someone about the condition of my nephew. Upon arrival I was greeted and about 5 officers immediately tried getting me some assistance. There was a older white guy and the Watch Commander Captain Holiday, answered all my concerns about my nephew. They may have been feeding me some BS about his wellbeing, but they were so nice I had no choice but to believe them. The jail condition and the inmates safety are horrible, but the front desk and the entry of the jail customer service is A+.

My Aunt is a translator for the International Confederation of Wizards Quidditch Committee (ICWQC) so the seats were pretty good. As you know wizards usually apparate but for international travel a portkey is the best. The nearest portkey for me is Bob the turkey https://www.yelp.com/biz/bob-the-turkey-statue-woodstock?uid=FdPioXvctMq8lhBtd_NnTg&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) in downtown Woodstock. And since Bob the turkey is a local portkey-meaning that its only used for regional travel...I had to come to the One man jail cell in order to transfer to an international portkey. This portkey can be found on the muggle map called Google which has a more accurate direction https://goo.gl/maps/BD96Fb9xhdP2 The real address is 47 Delta Place NE Atlanta, GA 30307. Its listed as Inman Park Lockbox and apparently use to be a real jail cell from back in the 1800's... We were able to get to our destination (sorry but we can't reveal the destination) and will probably be back for the 2019 World cup!

An interesting remnant of a bygone era, the OMJC or the "iron maiden" was used by foot patrolmen to temporarily hold prisoners waiting for the paddy wagon in the 1880s (according to Atlanta Walks). Surprisingly, it's in good condition with a working door. It is rather skinny with only tiny skylights for lighting...not recommended for anyone with claustrophobia or nyctophobia. The OMJC stands alone at Delta Park in Inman Park. This tiny triangular shaped park is in the middle of 3 intersections. Hence the name? Also found at Delta Park is a historic civil war marker that has nothing to do with the OMJC. Free and not touristy. Parking is street. A quirky slice of history... maybe Atlanta has been a little offbeat all along!
