I took my brother in (who suffers from severe social anxiety) to get his eyes checked and some new glasses. He really liked the place and didn't feel any major anxiety at all thanks to the place being smaller and the fact that they don't seem to double book appointments like some places where you can't even find a seat for the 2 hour long wait to see the doc. He also liked the frame selection and even a year later is happy with the great quality of the lenses which haven't flaked as our others have. I went for my yearly appointment in Jan or Feb and again enjoyed the friendly atmosphere created by the staff and doctors. Dr. Ellison gave epically rocking explanations on some of the worries he had about my optic nerves and even brought in his wife just to get a second opinion because he wanted to give me the best possible help. I've never before been to a doctor that explained things so well as usually they just tend to tell you a diagnoses and expect you to google it to find out exactly what it means. I'm loving my glasses once again. :) The newest convert, my mother, luckily got an appointment on the day before Mother's Day and they were having one of there many events to celebrate Mother's Day by giving out roses and providing snacks and drinks. When she was finished with the doctor and we drove of, she could not stop gushing at how great the doctor was and how she never wants to go to her usual eye clinic again. She said he made her laugh and she appreciates his knowledge and the way he did the explanations. On a side note to my epic review, I recommend ignoring that 2 star review I noticed considering that it's not the doctors office fault that insurance companies in general make life difficult for everyone. I've never had a problem with any of the front desk girls who have always been polite and accommodating. As a past medical biller myself at a large medical office, I always recommend calling the insurance company yourself if you are concerned about coverage or price as they sometimes do not give accurate and up to date information to the doctor offices. Definitely TL;DR? Place is still awesome. Doctors actually explain what they are doing and any problems they see. They often have fun events where they offer discounts on lenses. Frame selection is good and lens quality is fantastic. Go there and you'll be a customer for life.

The office is modern and clean. The equipment is top-technology and it is well maintained. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. From the technician and interns to the doctors, they all take their time to explain and answer any questions. I have never felt rushed during my visits. They have a wide selection of frames but brands tend to be on the high-end side. Ultimately what you pay is based on your insurance.

The receptionist and the billing department agreed to extend a larger discount than the plan required, which was very nice. She had me on the machine for a short while to take some printout measurements. Since this was my second time here, I was sending to the doctor right away without filling out a bunch of paperwork. Dr. Elliott remember me right away, from last year appointment. He was clear and thorough. He also had me on the machine to verify the measurements the front desk girl gave to him. He told me to go see the glaucoma specialist again this year and ask if I want the progressive lens since I'm nearsighted and I couldn't see up close at the same time. That was it. I was out of there in 15 minutes.

I never got a confirmation about the appointment, so I was confused about the date and time. I called last week multiple times and they won't answer any phone calls or return voice mails. I finally asked to talk to a manager at Costco and I was directed to Paul, the assistant service manager in Costco. I explained to him how it was impossible to get hold of anyone at the optometrist's office. He walked down there personally and asked them to call me, as I had been calling to ask for my appointment details. A girl from that office finally called me and told me that my daughter's appointment was scheduled for Monday, November 25th at 11. I asked her why they weren't answering phones Or returning voice mails? She goes because the phone was not working. I asked her why wasn't the phone working.....she goes, how do I know? I am not the phone company!! I asked her if that's how she usually talked to customers and that was extremely rude. So today I was there at 10:50 am with my daughter for her appointment at 11 AM. The first girl told me there was no appointment scheduled. I asked her that was not possible. Now, the other girl told that my daughter's appointment had been cancelled. I was shocked and so angry. I asked them why was it canceled? She goes because I didn't give my credit card number to reserve the appointment . I told her no one asked me for my credit card number ever. How am i supposed to know to give the credit card number? The doctor came out and he tells me it isn't their fault. I should have given a credit card number. I again repeated that no one ever asked me for it. They told me I could come at 12:30 for an appointment. By this time, I was done and so was my daughter. She said mom, please let's just schedule an eye exam somewhere else. I agreed and walked out. I still wanted to talk to the assistant manager Paul about this horrible experience. Paul was extremely busy, but he called Tarra, another service manager to help me. I told her the entire story. She went down to talk to them and got me the appointment for 12:30, which I didn't want with this facility anymore, but I just wanted eye glasses urgently for my daughter so took this appointment. Tarra came to look for me and asked me if I could show her a log of my phone calls to Costco, as the staff at the optometrist's office told her that I had never called to make an appointment. . I showed her my call log and I also found the text they had sent 2 days back to say my appointment was for November 25th at 11 am. she took a screen shot with her phone and went down to show it to them. Within 5 minutes I got a call that the doctor was done early and he could see us now. I went down with my daughter. The doctor says to me with a smile.....see, it's all settled now. literally no regret, no apology for how they treated me. I told him that I was extremely upset and I had absolutely nothing else to say and I just needed my daughter's eye appointment to be done. I asked the name of the girls who treated me so rudely. One said her name was Vanessa. The other said she didn't have to give me her name. If I am to guess, I would say her name was Marie, the same girl who canceled my appointment for calling her out on her rude behavior on the phone. It is so shameful that these people have their office in such a wonderful business like Costco. I really hope Costco reads my review and is aware of this experience.

He was very clear at what he wanted me to communicate during the exam, which I don't feel like many optometrists do very well. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Every single person I encountered was genuine and friendly. I was even welcomed to the practice, as this was my first visit! The practice has many frames to choose from, but it's not as expansive as a LensCrafters. That's ok with me-- I just need functional, decent looking frames, and that's what I got.

This is my first time purchasing glasses for other than reading or slight magnification. After my vision exam, I was told I needed a prescription and to pick out a pair of frames. There were no price tags but I was told it was not a designer brand. The cost of the glasses, even with my insurance, was close to $1100 dollars. Although I thought this expensive, I had no reference as to what is reasonable. That being said, the glasses are nice but nothing exceptional and the frames could be found on line for about $250. dollars. Final note, the glasses were delayed and went several weeks before I called to cancel the order. I was informed by store personnel that the glasses were already ordered and I would not be able to cancel. After approximately one week, the glasses arrived.
