From the moment we called to the time the work was completed, it was about 1 week start (quote sent and reviewed) to finish (work completed and paid). They sanded and perfected trim and recently replaced drywall, and primed and painted walls, ceiling, and trim. They were able to use the specific paint brand, quality and color that we selected without a significant price increase. I noticed a post on Nextdoor asking for handyman recommendations. There were a bunch of replies,…read morebut only 5 that seemed to match my criteria. I did research online for those 5. There was only 1 that had what I was looking for in a handyman company. Included in my list of requirements was BBB registration, insurance to protect customers and very positive reviews on all the main sites (Angi, Yelp, Google, etc.). It was also important that the 'company' be more than one person and have experience in the projects that I was interested in doing. Only one of those companies checked all the boxes: Welter Home Services. I called them and spoke with Kevin about our current and future needs. We had 3 projects. I wanted to do one to be sure I was pleased with their work (I was) before starting the other two. Kevin explained what labor and materials we needed to complete the job. He provided a detailed estimate with all materials and labor stated. Our first project was the replacement of a kitchen pantry door - including the whole door frame, hardware and trim. This required removing the old door, frame and trim - and painting the new door, frame and trim. On the agreed upon date, a Welter HS employee showed up at our door exactly on time. He was very pleasant and helpful. He completed the project, checked his work and made some touchups where the appearance as not "perfect", then did a great job of cleaning up the area he had worked in. We are very pleased with Welter HS and the work they completed for us: on time and for the price they quoted. We are moving forward with the next two projects and are looking forward to getting them completed with the same quality and professionalism that they applied to this first project.

Edit to add to the owner's response:…read more The owner is a blatant liar. Also, near blind as he doesn't seem to recognize the difference. To correct his lie, they never offered the free replacement. I initially held the remaining payment expecting them to address the issue, but they threatened me with things like filing a lien. So I paid the remainder. I even paid extra to replace the incorrectly installed drawers, which were flat drawers. The second time, they were installed incorrectly again, differently designed shakers. The result is what the photos here show. Extremely irresponsible. BTW, you are the one who did incompetent job and you want to move on without fixing it? What a joke. --- This was our 2nd time working with them. The first time, back in 2020, went very smooth, so we decided to work with them again for our new home. This time it was night and day. It couldn't have been worse. We chose shaker everywhere, but noticed the design draft showed the top drawers flat. The designer told us it was a glitch in their new software, but they went ahead and installed the flat ones anyway. I asked to have it changed and held payment until they fixed it. Instead, they blamed me for an outcome I supposedly approved, and insisted I pay extra to make them shakers. So I did. Then the final result came out like the photo. There's an obvious discrepancy in the width of the cove area (the sloped section between the outer and inner profiles). The designer couldn't even see the problem. The owner never responded at all. I even filed a complaint with the BBB, and they never addressed it. So the BBB closed the case. It's painful to see them treat me like this when I liked them so much 5 years ago. Avoid these crooks if you can.

Deck Doc just finished power washing, sanding and staining my deck, and I am 100% satisfied with…read moretheir work. I scheduled the work around last November, as I wanted my deck to be refinished and looking good for the full 2025 season. The first days with decent weather in late April the deck was washed, and by early May the deck was finished. A crew of 2 worked a full day power washing and bleaching the deck and 2 sections of yard fencing. Every part of the deck was thoroughly cleaned, including areas not normally visible, and all areas of the deck that were surrounded by bushes. Within about a week, as soon as we had a few sunny days and warmer weather, a crew of three worked a full day sanding and staining the deck and fence. The deck floor was power sanded, and all other surfaces were hand sanded, before all sawdust was carefully blown away and stain was applied. Deck Doc did an outstanding job, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Communications regarding scheduling were excellent, work was done competently and on the days and at the times promised. The area around the deck was left completely clean when work was completed. Thank you for making my deck look like new.
