The guy at the counter, ominously behind glass going all the way up to the ceiling, talked to me like I was nothing. I went to hand him my debit card to pay for my purchase, but he just abruptly said "no" and not another word to me after that. How about "I'm sorry, we don't accept debit" instead? The thing is they do, the sign was on the door, they just want to have it both ways, and i guess my purchase wasn't worth the transaction fee to them. Awful.

I obtain an unsecured line of credit years ago when I first opened my checking account in case I accidentally overdraw. So last month for the first time ever, I over drew $13.93. I got a letter in the mail saying I needed to pay them, so I paid with a check and the check was cashed before the due date. Fast forward a month, I get another letter - the bank claims I still owe them $.10 more because interest accrues. My loan balance is zero, but I still owe interest by the time they cashed my check which was BEFORE THE DUE DATE. So much for truth and lending. Why doesn't this bank explicitly say in their letter that if you pay after a particular date, add X amount in interest. This is a game! I have a savings account in addition to my checking with these people. When I get a chance, I will be shopping for a new banking institution and will pull my money from this institution.
