What matters more to me is how they respond when something needs to be corrected, and Crystal made sure Barkleys stood behind their work and took care of me as the homeowner. I really appreciate her professionalism, patience, and willingness to make things right. I'm very happy with how everything turned out and would absolutely recommend Crystal and Barkleys Roofing to anyone looking for a company that will stand behind their work and take care of their people.

Good: High quality, low cost Bad: N/A…read moreOverall: Exception Value My neighbor and I were discussing our interest in having epoxy added to our garage. My wife had recently dropped wood stain and about a week prior, I had motor oil spill on my floor. I had a large area of oil and stain on my garage floor. The owner of this business lived in our neighborhood and had posted a classified notice on our Homeowner's Association page. We reached out to inquire about the price and to see an example of his work. After my neighbor visited his home, he returned to tell me that his garage was impressive and we should move forward. Prior to beginning the project, Walter, the owner, asked us to select from 16 colors for the epoxy and 8 colors for the chips. On the day that he arrived, he began by sanding my garage. This process was lengthy, but incredibly thorough. After he vacuumed the debris, he began applying the epoxy. Afterward, he applied the chips. This process was the most entertaining because he literally through them against the wall to get an even distribution. If he had told me this was his plan, I would have had significant concerns, but the results are exceptional. He worked on our houses for approximately 12 hours and cost about half of what another neighbor spent to do the same work. I can honestly say that my only regret is that I waited so long. I bought this house new and wish I had the epoxy added when I first moved in. If you are interested, I would suggest you reach out to Walter, the owner, to inquire about the price to do this work. While he charged half of what out other neighbor paid, the work will very likely depend on the size of your garage. In the exchanges we had with Walter, he was friendly and responsive.

I hired them for a plumbing issue in my yard that needed to be corrected prior to putting in an above ground pool. I had originally been given a "diagnosis" and that is what I hired them for. Shortly into the job, Kevin became concerned that we were dealing with a bigger issue. He fully evaluated the situation and presented me with the best way to fix it - and fix it right. It turned into a much bigger job than I originally thought but I was very thankful that now it is fixed correctly and he didn't just patch the problem and move on. I then hired them to level my backyard for the placement of an above ground pool. 12x24 ft. The contractor who actually installed the pool said he had never seen a "more perfectly level, square or compacted pad ever - they were spot on". Ryan Pinkham Handyman is now in Melissa, Texas. I guess he moved from California. I read good reviews on Facebook so decided to give him a try. I hired him to paint and put in a vanity, mirror and a light ,in a very small half bath at my rental house. We agreed on a price. I sent half deposit upfront as he required. Well, then I found out there is an extra charge of $150 to paint the molding. If extra coat, he says, you pay more. Then he tries to remove mirror and says it's glued on and in the process he damaged the drywall. Now he wants extra $350 for the drywall repair. In my opinion it needed just a few small patches. He insisted that he needs to replace part of drywall. I attached the picture. Because I do not want to keep bothering tenants. I agree to the change order of $350. then he says I must pay the $350 before he will come back to finish job. Never heard of having to pay before the change is done. So I paid him. He then puts in the vanity and hangs the mirror. Then I get a text the vanity has a problem, the drain is crooked. He says I need to call Home Depot and request just the sink, it is not connected. Home Depot does not sell parts so now I have to order another vanity. He wants extra $150 to change out sink. My tenant also tells me mirror is the wrong color. Wouldn't he see either issue when installing? I agree to pay the $150 and order another vanity. It comes in .The sink is connected to the entire top. I ask if he can come change it out. He says busy so tenant now will not have working sink for couple more weeks. I said never mind, I will call someone else. I get the new vanity and ask him how it was installed because sink is connected to granite top. Not sure if top then can be changed or entire vanity. Now he says ask your new contractor, not sure what they did and do not contact him again. I paid him for entire job up to this point and now have to replace vanity and mirror. Never in my life I had to deal with someone like this. I have worked with multiple contractors for my clients, being a Real Estate broker in California for over 35 years and now an agent in Texas. I own multiple rental properties in California and Texas and this has been the only one I felt to write a negative review about.
