The salon has very comfortable chairs for getting your hair cut or colored, for getting some heat in your hair and especially for washing your hair. Very modern and comfy chairs with even an ottoman for your feet. Past salons experiences were always on uncomfortable seating especially when they would wash my hair- it would mess up my back most of the time. Not here though- I really loved their style of seating- very comfortable for the clients. I loved how my girl Bianca colored my hair. I got some highlights and she did an excellent job. What has been even more upsetting is seeing other people come forward with similar concerns about damage to their hair. I brought my concerns to the salon owner, Natalie, hoping she would take the situation seriously and work toward a reasonable resolution. Instead, in my experience, there has been a complete lack of accountability for what happened. I have felt dismissed rather than supported as a paying client whose hair was damaged by a service performed at her salon. I understand that not every service turns out perfectly, but there is a major difference between an imperfect result and significant hair damage. Mistakes can happen--the way a business responds afterward says a lot. I wish Natalie had acknowledged what happened, taken responsibility for the salon's role, and made a genuine effort to resolve the situation. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this salon to do their research, ask detailed questions about the health and integrity of their hair before allowing chemical services, and document their hair before and after their appointment. I needed root coverage on white hair with a Schwarzkopf color. Was told ,"The more upscale salons were farther away." A couple of business owners recommended Jaimee , but not the salon. It was so close that I tried it anyway. The atmosphere in The Fringe Salon was how it had been described, all business and unfriendly. The woman attending the desk was too absorbed in her paperwork to even look up at someone coming in, and when she did, it was without a smile or greeting. When I took a seat , no one asked me for whom I was waiting, nor offered me a bottle of water. Jaimee was worth it. She was a good listener and worked with me on the color and a brand she was not familiar with. I was delighted to find she was not one of those, "We only use these brands here." She was polite and kind , willing to learn what it took to help and please a client. She studied , showed me the product , did not substitute. And, she offered me water. I now have happy hair.
