Quite possibly the best Thai massage I've ever gotten…read more We got back to back reservations since our party was a total of 4 people. They took 2 at 3:30 then another at 5. I'm glad we ended up getting the second reservation because we had just eaten and drank for a couple hours at Paradise Cove so I didn't want to spend the next 90 mins getting manhandled and possibly releasing gas. Lol. We got there a little early so my friend and I walked over to the beach to kill some time. By the time we got back, out friends were on their way out. Perfect timing. After confirming with the masseuse what area I needed worked on, the best 90 min massage commenced. I wish I got her name because she deserves kudos for getting all the knots on my back. She really went to town. My friend who was in the next room told me afterwards that she heard me snoring a few times. I did remember dozing off a bit. It was that relaxing. Thanks for the great service!

The online booking system was a total breeze--so convenient and user-friendly, which I really appreciated. The moment I walked in, I was struck by how beautiful and clean the shop is. But the real highlight was the massage itself; the therapists are true professionals who clearly know exactly what they are doing. It was hands down the best Thai massage I've had in a long time! And man, was I glad I listened to my friend's advice! I have been to chiropractors/all different types of masseuses and Melanie did what no other could do! Loosened up my chronic stiff upper back issues from an almost tragic ATV injury I had, when no one else was able to do so. I almost would go back every week if I didn't live in NYC. Kudos Melanie! I contacted a friend from the area and he suggested I give Melanie a try. She was FABULOUS! She quickly made an appointment and set aside time to come to our hotel. I've been to massage therapists many times for this exact issue and I know what to expect. I'll be honest, when your back is having spasms, massages can hurt a bit, but as the muscles relax... it's bliss. Rather than spending my weekend in pain, I was able to spend it enjoying the sun and being out and about. A morning run along the beach simply would not have been possible without Melanie's intervention. I have been to "massage therapists" that essentially apply lotion to your skin for you. Melanie is NOT one of those. She has a great knowledge of the body. She can explain to you what is happening and why. In essence, Melanie is a fantastic massage therapist. You won't regret making an appointment. When I'm back in the area, I'll be sure to schedule with her again.

You can make reservations or walk in -- and I love that it's not out in the middle of the mall; Chi has its own storefront. The interior front area looks really clean and organized. I don't know the woman's name who worked on me, but she asked me my pressure preference as I was sitting in the chair. I mistakenly said medium to hard and whoa, it was hard and deep but so amazing -- not without pain of course. But then again, knots are painful! This woman knows her stuff and all the pressure points of the back, head, arms and shoulders. I even got a neck massage! I would actually come back, it helped. My boyfriend loves the chair massage too and for $30 for 30 minutes, not a bad deal!

I try to drive to up from Ventura once a week now to get their reflexology foot massage. For $35 you get a 10 minute chair massage, 30 minute reflexology foot massage, a foot bath and even some jasmine tea. They do other stuff too like longer chair massages and table massages but I haven't tried those yet. The lady that runs it is a doctor from China and she really knows what she's doing... this isn't like those Ventura mall guys that just beat you to death and call it massage. If you've never had real reflexology before it can hurt a little, but it really stays with you all day. The staff will scale it back for you if you tell them to. They're on the first floor of the mall next to Johnny Rockets, and the only negative is that the mall management put kiddie rides right in front of this place. So sometimes there are screaming kids which kills the vibe. They just crank up the Chinese zen music and close the doors though which helps. Also if you're a guy like me you'll want to bring your own magazine to read during the treatment... you won't like the selection that's there.
