Seeing her again felt like catching up with an old friend! She's still the same warm, welcoming, all smiles energy I remembered. When it came time for the deep tissue massage--wow, she's simply amazing! Kenisha is incredibly strong and just knows how to move along the body to work out every knot. My neck had been killing me and she focused on my upper body. It's been four days now and my neck already feels so much better and far less stiff. She truly takes her time, gets deep into those problem areas, and always checks in to make sure the pressure feels right. I honestly can't say enough great things about her--she's the best! I'm already planning to book another appointment soon for both me and my husband. Highly recommend!

I loooove Kenisha and I'll explain why shortly. Funny thing is, I've sent people to her, but…read morehadn't visited her myself, until my birthday. Location is between the MGM liquor store and a salon, which is the 3701 address. The suite 550 is actually the physical store, fyi, which reads that it's a chiropractor on the outside, but I assure it's Amuure Holistic Healing, if you read the door. I drove by a few times not realizing why I was at the liquor store, until I phoned Kenisha. Ambiance: The ambiance felt peaceful and inviting. Upon entering, you are in a lobby lite with candles. The decor provides mood. There's a dark curtain, providing privacy to your encounter with relaxation. Adjacent to the curtain is the counter, where you are checked in at arrival and pay upon leaving. Service: She's very good at what she does. She was observant and attentive to my body. She asked questions re: the type of massage I prefer and anything my body had gone through recently. She found balance in what I stated I like and what I actually needed and executed everything exquisitely. She drained my lymph nodes, stretched me and massaged me. She was professional in her technique in getting through the tightness in my shoulders without causing me too much hurt the days to follow, which I found amazing. I preparing to be in a lot of pain the next two days, but oddly enough I was not. I could feel the work she put into my shoulders, but it wasn't what I have felt in other experiences. If you're looking for someone to drain your lymphatic system, call her. She definitely provides the service. In addition, I will leave you with this.... leaving her felt like a healing session. We had in-depth convo, which felt like a healin session for me, my body felt so relaxed and felt revitalized. Usually when I leave a massage session, I'm exhausted and need a nap. I felt rejuvenated! One last thing! I mentioned over the phone that I was spending my actual birthday at Amuure Holistic Healing and guess what Kenisha did? When the massage was completed, she surprised me and brought me a candlelit glass of champagne, fresh strawberries and fondue chocolate and told me I didn't have to indulge! LOL Oh my dear, I'm indulging! hahahaha The sweetest surprise ever! I was floored. Need a massage? Do yourself a service and call Amuure Holistic Healing. If you do not, it will be a disservice to you. I left bragging to all of my friends about her. I believe you will do the same. Am I going back? Duuuuhhhh.... yes! LOL

I'd never seen a naturopath before seeing Dr. Montgomery and was uncertain about paying out of pocket for an initial visit, but I wanted to try a different approach to chronic anxiety and gastrointestinal issues, and for support for a healthy pregnancy. With her support and suggestions, I've been successful in my third attempt to taper off anti-anxiety meds. From my first visit, it was clear that it was a good investment. Dr. Montgomery had spent a lot of time reviewing past labs and my intake forms, and was a wonderful listener. She walked me through her thinking about how to get more info about what was going on with my body and how to support my health. All her ideas were holistic, pragmatic (considering cost, feasibility, etc.), and systematic (maybe try this first, then this...), and she didn't make any assumptions or take anything for granted. I love that she has a background in both naturopathic medicine and Chinese medicine and integrates those approaches. I've been seeing Jules weekly throughout my pregnancy and anxiety med taper journey, and I feel confident that our sessions have been crucial in helping me maintain a stable mood, physical comfort, and overall good health during this important time in my life. I've seen at least 5 different acupuncturists in the cities, and probably a dozen or so in my life, and Jules is my favorite in the cities and top two of all time. Not only is he super skilled at his healing craft and generous (affordable community acupuncture is such a gift!) but also warm and caring and particularly knowledgeable about pregnancy. I always look forward to my sessions and feel wonderful afterwards. Also a shout-out to the front desk staff who are wonderful and warm :)

Dr Barrett took great interest in listening to me and bringing warmth, compassion and her expertise into the time with me. I left feeling like I had a plan and someone to walk with me in this process -not just covering up what was happening, but looking at what deficiencies are there and seeing what is really happening and needed in my body. Also, Dr. Barrett is very knowledgable about natural supplements and what works well with the body systems. Would recommend her to anyone interested in a more natural and deeper approach to health concerns.

I was having GI trouble. My primary care doc is trained in integrative medicine and, unfortunately,…read morethe results of the tests she did were inconclusive. So she recommended Ayurveda, which brought up a new challenge for me. I know how to find an Ayurvedic doctor in India, but how do I find a suitable one locally? I had two major criteria: Excellent training and a kind and caring person. And I found just the right person. Dr. Asavari Manvikar fits both criteria. She trained in India at a premier institution in Pune, India, getting both her bachelor's and master's degrees. Her thesis was awarded a gold medal by the Institute of Medicine. She served as a Doctor of Ayurveda Medicine, faculty member at an Ayurveda college where she conducted and published research on integrative approaches for illnesses like cancer and diabetes. Then she trained in the US in integrative medicine--great! Now, she teaches a graduate level class in Ayurveda at the Univ of MN. Wonderful qualifications! As soon as I met her, I knew I had found the person I wanted to work with. She was warm and very easy to talk with. She listened very well and was respectful and kind. In all or our interactions, I have felt very comfortable and well cared for and listened to. I have found Ayurveda to be extremely helpful and my GI system is much more resilient now. Of course, after a life time of GI troubles, I knew it would take a while and, indeed, it did. After a couple of years I noticed that I was much more resilient. Not just my GI system (fewer tummy upsets, able to eat more things than before w/o stomach issues) but my immune system as well. My allergies were much better, my sleep improved and I had more energy. I have been able to stay off strong Western medicines--they helped me when I needed them but I did not want to be on them forever. And the changes have held over time and I feel so much better. I am so glad I am using Ayurveda and very pleased to be working with such a competent and caring professional. If you are looking for a natural approach to helping your body, I suggest trying Ayurveda. It is gentle and takes a holistic approach addressing mind, body and spirit. And I strongly recommend you seek treatment from Dr. Manvikar. I know you will like her and she will help you. I wish you all the best on your healing journey.

I was under the impression it would be $350 (still rather pricey but I was willing to pay that.) When I told her I did not want to continue sessions, she tried to make me feel guilty and then charged my credit card for an additional $170.....which according to her would be due in seven days. I cancelled the credit card to avoid any additional charges I didn't agree too. For the actual sessions, Sandy didn't do her "homework" and read up (or thoroughly read) on my situation and used some of my zoom time to look up information and ask me questions that I had explained in my written information. I did not gain much (if any) help from these sessions ..... certainly not $540 worth. To be fair to Sandy, I know nothing about her other areas of practice, such as Rolfing, etc.
