Todd was extremely friendly, helpful and went over the services in detail with me. My gift certificate consisted of a facial, massage, manicure and pedicure. We decided to break it up and I had my appointments on two different Saturdays one following the other. Considering I have small children and I am a stay at home mom, that worked out best for me and I was happy that they were so accommodating. I went for my manicure and pedicure early on a Saturday morning and was greeted warmly; I had a couple of minutes to browse around the front shop which is absolutely adorable. They have everything from scented candles, jewelry, gifts, perfume, clothes, robes and lots and lots of fun make up! I was taken care of by Brittany and she was absolutely fabulous; very sweet and very talented. I loved my manicure and pedicure; it was nice and quiet and relaxing. I am very pleased to say that the polish on my fingernails lasted over two weeks (we used Chanel polish). I would absolutely see Brittany again. The following Saturday is when I had my facial and my massage. My massage was very nice and I hate the fact that I forgot both of my beauty technicians names, however if I do find out who they are, I will make an edit because they were both lovely. I really enjoyed my facial; we had nice light conversation and she was telling me everything that she was doing and how beneficial it was for my skin. I was so relaxed I honestly did not want that facial to ever end. I would have given my experience five stars however one thing that brought it down; there is no private place to sit and relax in between services. Yes, there is a small waiting room but it is right behind the main front shop and you can hear all the hustle and bustle. Having a small dimly lit room with maybe some comfortable chairs, some tea, coffee (champagne on the weekends), candies burning, soft music etc kind of like a hidden sanctuary. I'm sure there's probably not enough room for it however that's just something that I thought of because in between my massage and facial I was literally standing in the hallway in my robe waiting...for technicians to pass by, for my girl to be ready for me etc...it was a little awkward. Other than that it was a fantastic experience and I would absolutely go back and plan on it very soon.

What a way to end a reputable business. Not a Christian business as stated in a Green Street Baptist publication. Does anyone know how to contact the owners? They sold us an $1800 gift certificate and closed down without even contacting us. My sister who purchased the certificate spoke with them many times trying to plan the perfect birthday for me and my sisters. We are all senior citizens and this is a lot of money to lose. We had to cancel our March appointment because of coronavirus and had hoped to reschedule. We are sorry that coronavirus made it difficult for them to stay in business but we are surprised and disappointed that a business who was so reputable for so many years would do this this. Before I arrived at Amethyst, I knew that I would be in great hands with Shelley. I emailed her in advance to ask a few questions about the experience. I've had neck and nerve issues from traditional hair washes in a bowl at a salon, so I wanted to make sure this would be safe for me. Shelley responded promptly and made me feel completely at ease. This would not be a traditional salon experience! Shelley greeted me as soon as I walked into the salon (Amethyst Headspa is located inside Concept Salon) and walked me back to her Oasis. The room had dim purple lighting which immediately transported me from "real life" to a gorgeous pamper studio. She thoroughly explained what to expect and gave me ample time to get ready. I received the Rock'NRoll rejuvenating Headspa treatment which included a hair wash (shampoo and conditioner tailored to my dry and curly hair), scalp and shoulder massage, and a quick blow dry. Shelley made sure I was comfortable and perfectly positioned on the headrest. She then gave me a warm eye mask and encouraged me to just let go and relax. She gently took my hair in her hands and placed it in the water. The water halo (the glowing bowl in the pictures) sprinkled water and gently tickled my scalp, while Shelley's well trained hands massaged my head, neck, and shoulders. Within seconds, all of the tension, stress, and the headache I walked in with, just washed away. The trickling sound of water, the soothing music, and Shelley's calming energy made for the most relaxing experience! As a licensed cosmetologist, Shelley offers a variety of treatments tailored to your needs. During longer treatments she uses a variety of tools for a multi-sensory experience. Whether you book for 30 minutes or an hour and a half, you will leave relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated.

I was immediately relaxed by the atmosphere and Shelley's soothing spirit. She was very kind and welcoming and explained everything very well. I was able to get comfy and then the magic began! The water flow system is SINFULLY WONDERFUL. Perfectly warm and delicate on the scalp. And the massage.... Wow oh wow how coming and relaxing it was. Both on the neck and shoulders and especially the scalp. After the wash, condition, and massages came the hair dry. Very soothing and relaxing. Over all this was an outstanding experience and I hope to be back again. It's definitely worth the splurge.

So I wasn't going to write a review but so many people have made comments about my hair from this…read moreappointment and people keep insisting that I really should say something, so here it is: I've come to Avanti for years. Recently I made an appointment for highlights and I didn't have a stylist in mind so they just scheduled me with one available. When I came in and showed a picture of what I wanted, my stylist said those were full highlights and she only scheduled me for partial. I was disappointed but I took that as my fault for not being specific when calling. Though, I assumed when I called and scheduled for highlights they would have booked me for full highlights, not partial. But again, that might have been misunderstanding on my part. As she worked on my hair she made a couple comments that I felt were unprofessional and I got the vibe from her that she didn't really respect me as a client. On top of that, she took another client while my hair was processing and was not checking on how my hair was reacting to the bleach. After she was done with her other client, it was clear she was trying to rush my appointment and finish my hair. She washed all the bleach out at once not even considering that some parts were processing a lot longer than others. Most stylists would wash your hair out in sections based on when they put the foils in, but not this lady. Long story short, my hair was not at all what I asked for and I had huge brown patches in my hair that were clearly not taken care of. My hair was not even close to what we had discussed. Instead of nice natural highlights, I was left with clumpy, brassy patches. It looked like it was bleached at home and had been treated poorly for months. On top of that, I was charged way more than was stated on the website. I've asked another hair stylist and people who have gotten their hair highlighted professionally and not a single person said that I was charged correctly and most people have told me this hairstylist definitely took advantage of me and overcharged me. I ended making an appointment the next week to see another hairstylist at a different salon to get my hair fixed. When I show people the pictures from this appointment people are actually shocked that the stylist did what they did. I've had so many comments about how it looks like it had been bleached at home and had been overgrown for months, not at all like I paid good money for a stylist to do it. I know all hair stylists are different but the fact that this was supposed to be an "executive stylist" and she treated me the way she did and allowed me to leave the store with my hair looking the way it did, says a lot about the salon. I personally will not be returning as a client.
