The most bougie beach in the Miami Beach area. Seriously, walking around you can definitely tell…read morehow bougie this place is with the Ritz-Carlton and a bunch of luxury apartments. Got a recommendation from a friend to visit here and was not disappointed. Here are some of the highlights/tips: - There's not a lot of people at the beach, just hotel and local residents on their paid beach chairs and umbrellas so its very nice and quiet. - Because of the tall buildings in the back, it offers a lot of shade to the area especially during mid-afternoon in the hot Miami sun which is very nice. - You can't walk directly from the street to the beach as you have to loop around all the way to the top of Miami Beach around the Ritz-Carlton to get here so if you get dropped off by Uber or Lyft, make sure to get you dropped off at the Ritz. The walk is around 7-10 minutes and it is very worth it as you can get to see the ocean roll all the way inland. - The waves are so beautiful here and I think they are just big enough to go surfing if you may choose. Overall, love this beach and would definitely recommend going to different areas in Miami Beach to understand the different vibes of the area. It's interesting because in the Southern parts of the beach the side is finer and there's more people and families. In the middle parts has more shopping and the water is slightly more murky. And in the northern areas such as Bal Harbor there is a lot less people and the sand is more rough.

It's rarely crowded here, which is nice. Paid parking is available under the Haulover Inlet bridge…read more There's a nice beach path/trail here. My only complaint is that there are no restrooms here. Like, c'mon Bal Harbor! This is one of the richest areas in the US. You guys can totally affordable some nice beach restroom facilities.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Turquoise Floating Yoga for SUP instruction and SUP instructor training. I've been…read moreSUPing for over 10 years, I completed ACA level 1 and 2 SUP instructor training previously, and I taught basic SUP myself for 4 years. I needed to renew my ACA instructor certification and wanted to get WPA instructor certification, so I did an ACA Level 1 and 2 SUP workshop and WPA level 1 SUP instructor training/certification with TFY. Meghan is the best SUP instructor/instructor trainer I've had. She's obviously very knowledgeable, but more importantly, she's also awesome at conveying that knowledge. We covered a huge amount of information in the ACA L1/2 workshop, but she made it manageable and easily understandable. The welcome letter she sends prior to class is very helpful and lets you know what to bring, the schedule, and what to expect. Her videos are also extremely helpful to watch beforehand. I thought the ACA workshop would be largely review for me, but I was surprised by how much I learned. She's also very upbeat, encouraging, and patient, and her low-pressure approach creates the perfect environment for learning. She taught high school math for 9 years, and I think her background in education plus her SUP knowledge and skills make her an outstanding instructor and instructor trainer. I'm looking forward to returning for ACA L1/2 instructor certification training.

The town has unique shops and restaurants, family-friendly parks, special events, and great access to the beach. The Surfside Walking Path runs from 87th Terrace to 96th Street parallel to the beach. There is a bike path alongside it. The walking and bike path are some of the best places to take in the fresh sea air and enjoy the views in Surfside. Along the way you will enjoy stunning views of the ocean as you pass by architectural gems like the Four Seasons Surf Club completed by Pritzker Prize winning architect, Richard Meier, the Arquitectonica designed Fendi Chateau, and ARTE designed by Italian architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel. At the beach entrance at 95th Street you can find Ké, the Mother Turtle art sculpture which is the mascot for the town. On the day I visited people of all ages were strolling, jogging, biking, and walking their dogs, The Surfside Walking Path is a great way to inspire and enjoy healthy movement in people who may otherwise shy away from a gym.

Similar to a car you need to be 16 to drive one so my 11 year old daughter was on the back of mine and my 6 and 9 year old sons joined my husband. We met Dominic at the Pioneer Park- boat ramps in Deerfield Beach. Please note that this location is different than the address on the Yelp review since we were a bit confused ourselves. We started off slow getting used to the jet skis and also admiring the beautiful homes on the intercoastal. Then for about 30-45 minutes we got to go as fast as we could zipping over massive waves and holding on for dear life. I thought we were speed demons, but my thrill seeking daughter kept yelling at me that I wasn't going fast enough. My 9 year old son did fall off the back of my husband's jet ski, but he claimed that was the most fun part of the excursion. .And Dominic was nearby the entire time to help out in these situations and more, but overall we felt very safe. 1.5 hours was perfect and everyone had a great time. They declared it their favorite day in South Florida and made us promise we'll rent jet skis again on a future trip. Done!

People walking up on the beach asking the price were told $150, so the $30 reservation was pretty meaningless and seemed to be just an extra charge. Also, the area you can drive the jet ski in is pretty limited. Wish I would have known.
