Each visit they both provided words of encouragement and helped keep me motivated. After 3 months it was time for updated blood work. I am elated to say that all my numbers have dropped dramatically! I initially heard about them from a fellow self employed musician who was having concerns about losing their affordable healthcare through Obamacare - since I, at 34, was considered "old" by most insurance companies' standards, just getting a basic plan, let alone any catastrophic care was so expensive, I'd have to refinance my house just to pay for my coverage not to mention my husband's. I didn't think there was any other way. With Dr. Steve's and his team, I don't have to worry about it anymore. If I have a problem, I just text or call and they take care of it. If I need to come for a visit, it's taken care of - I have had everything from my well visits with their OB to standard blood tests to full on allergy panels, minor procedures, support tracking down Lyme and Thyroid issues.... the works - my husband had two surgeries this past year and the after-care support from Dr. Steve's was unreal. They either code treatments wrong on purpose to get the extra cash or they're the most incompetent medical billing department on the planet and good luck getting them to review or change their mistakes. People with this gain a lot of weight from lymphatic fluid. It can't be dieted away and can't be exercised away and there's no cure. He was rude, disrespectful, uncompassionate, and just downright mean. He blames me for my Lymphedema. He said if I'd lose weight, my Lymphedema will go away. If he knew about Lymphedema, he'd know that's not true. He asked me if I had ever watched the show, "My 600 pound life" and said most everything that is wrong with me is my fault because I'm fat! I was 115 pounds until I got sick. He even cursed at me when I told him that my symptoms started with my first pregnancy saying "that don't mean shit!" . By the time he left the room, I'm crying and we left. My mom and boyfriend were with me. My mom turned him in. I've never been so insulted and embarrassed by a doctor. I'm not saying that I don't need to lose weight, but the condition I have had greatly contributed to my weight along with the list of my other ailments. I'm not stupid! This condition is life changing (to the worse) and I am trying to find a doctor who knows more about it than I do. In constant pain, anxiety and depression, having a doctor treat me like this, harms instead of help.

I have been a patient of this clinic for 3 years. I went to them in March for sciatica pain. My…read moreregular doctor Reed was unavailable so they put me with their new nurse practitioner. She prescribed a steroid shot. I told her that I had a steroid shot in January and Febuary. She said, no problem, you need another one. I found out later that I should not have a steroid shot but once every three months. Three hours later I had a seizure which put me into UMC hospital in Lebanon (U Might Croak). Upon admission they asked if I had had a flu shot this year. I said no and they asked me if I wanted a new one. Being barely awake I said yes. So I was in the hospital for excessive innocclations and their recommendations were additional innocclations. All-righty then. Needless to say, five weeks after my treatment by Family Medical, I'm really not sure if I'm going to live from this point on. Could I sue them for malpractice? Yes. But I'm sure they have maintained the best legal representation in Nashville. Am I going to pursue it? No. But would I recommend them for a PCP? Hell no. Dr. Reed needs to retire. Dr. McKinney needs to retire. The whole practice needs to retire. They hire front office staff and nurse practitioners based on how cute they are and not if they they graduated above the bottom 10% of their class. Caveat Emptor.

Not even sure if Covid/Flu results were accurate at that point, since they never mentioned them when they finally got back to me. Was given a round of antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection. I was talked down to by the PA when I asked questions. Seemed like I was wasting their time. Lacked compassion and professionalism. Went to my PCP the following day (Monday) and was diagnosed with pneumonia.
