I was able to get a great sourdough round and some baguettes for dinner. My daughter loves these spicy cheddar rolls from one of the vendors (keep a look out for them). You cannot go wrong. It is in a central spot that makes this easy to get to, free parking and it is open fairly year round. As a tidbit, it is right next to my favorite coffee shop that makes a great Vietnamese coffee!!! I have been to that one across the river, all I can say is they don't grow bananas in Minnesota. I have been visiting this place for decades, and I really love the way it is evolved well staying true to its roots. You need to have products that have been grown or made within a certain radius of Saint Paul. When I first started visiting, it was mainly growers, but as a farmers markets have expanded in the Twin Cities, some farmers have gone elsewhere. That means we are seeing more vendors of other types of food. People who forge mushrooms, people who make their own cheese. Bee keepers. The world's best pierogies. Tibetan dumplings. So many delights. It is bustling every Saturday and Sunday. It should be a weekly stop for everyone.

I struggled to even find a single grain of rice that wasn't raw and hard and since I had mixed my rice with my tofu it nearly ruined lunch. I wouldn't call this experience indicative of of Eastsides typical good quality food, so I wont judge too harshly, but I hope this experience wont repeat itself.

They have 4 food bars with a huge variety to suit everyone's diets and meal programs including tofu, salmon, various vegetables and fruit combinations. They also have the deli feature entrees and sides. I can tell you though that later in the day the deli entree items are minimal but the entrees are made fresh daily so you know it's fresh if they have it. I opted for a salad with turkey breast and I tried some of the red farro salad which was really healthy and tasty. I like that they list calories and ingredients too. Many dressings to choose as well. There is a small seating area which makes it nice so you don't have to leave and figure out where you're going to sit and eat.
