We were walking and saw a huge line so we continued walking, and then came back and the line was still long! We wanted to get some pasties and coffee so waited patiently (about 10-12 mins) in line. They have such a huge collection of pies, tarts, sausage rolls, croissants, cookies, breads and cinnamon rolls, etc. We couldn't decide what to get and don't want to go crazy as we had bought pasties earlier on from elsewhere, so bought two different cinnamon buns and a latte. The poppy seed and cream cheese cinnamon buns were incredible! Latte was delicious! Haven tried the rhubarb and strawberry cinnamon bun yet but looking forward to it tomorrow! There are limited tables and seats inside but it's crowded. The staff are friendly and the regular locals are amazing! We had a chat with the lovely folks in the line and they were recommending what they love, which was pretty special! I'm giving five stars because they deserve it - their food, drinks and hospitality.

I came for some cinnamon rolls as they are reputed to be the best around. However, since I got here 15 minutes before they closed, the lady in front of me bought the last two cinnamon rolls and I was left wanting. The staff here is very cool and helpful. Maybe some other time I can try a cinnamon roll.

As a bakery in Victoria - I found it sort of limited - I was expecting more baked goods. I did have the cream puff and it was delicious. My wife got a package of Cinnamon Rolls that she said were OK - not much better than you could get at Safeway - but a little. I had the Greek wrap which was disappointing but that is probably more me then the wrap [I am not a strong wrap lover ]. I was anticipating more of a gyros taste but it had chicken vs normal lamb and the dressing wasn't to my taste. My wife had the Teriyaki wrap and she said it was real good. If you live here - probably an ok place for lunch and some baked goods - but not worth a special trip. The people were friendly and efficient but the atmosphere needs work. Perfect Small Town Bakery [Chemainus BC]…read more The community of Chemainus has this great little bakery. It was a 12-min drive from where we were staying in Crofton. We came here twice -- Sunday (unfortunately, they are closed on weekends). Business hours posted on their window are Mon-Fri 7:00a to 5:00p so we came back on a Tuesday afternoon. The different pastries in the display case looked so pretty and inviting... they even have egg rolls! I tried their Coffee Cake w/ Crumble Topping... not too sweet, just delightful. I also had the Apple Fritter... mmm, scrumptious warm apple fritter. I also bought a loaf of butter crust bread to take home (husband looked at me funny). Service was A+. Seating available inside and outside their store for those who enjoy sunshine. Delicious pastries at very reasonable prices. Everything looked tempting so we purchased a lot: a fig tapenade Brie sandwich (wonderful flavours, a little heavy on the bread and light on the cheese); a mango danish (delicate, crisp pastry strewn with baked mango chunks); a vegetarian pizza (cheesy and flavourful); and my favourite, an oatmeal fudge bar (like the one Starbucks used to sell, but with higher-quality ingredients and most importantly, more chocolate!). We also got a salad as a nod to nutrition, which was fresh, contained a surprising amount of bocconcini and came with a tasty vinaigrette - a little overpriced for the portion tho. Service was friendly and prompt. No seating inside, but there are a few benches outside where one can enjoy the treats if the weather's fine--and it was. 4.5
