Baja Fresh has always been a fav of mine. I love their burritos which is usually my go to! This time I got a Bean and Cheese Burrito and I added chicken and sour cream! Soo good and as you can see it's a very good size!

My order. Yes, the other order is correct.

Just picked up two plates of nachos for movie night. I asked for no pico. Both plates were covered in pico. I asked for two salsa verde and one six chili. I got the two verdes and yet another pico. I can't even take it back because the movie is starting.

Many Baja Fresh location have closed and this one is still kicking and screaming. Happy to see that they are doing well even with COVID killing and closing so many restaurants. They have several tables outside that are helping feed the hungry customers like myself. Absolutely no need to take the food to go. With confidence I'm ready to declare this one is my favorite Baja Fresh out of them all. Even when I lived in Culver City near by and came here every other week they never had a reason for me to say otherwise. Always fast and what's more important, accurate and tasty. Yes, good tasting, commercialized Mexican food. I think this alone calls for a 5 star rating! On my menu you will usually find a grilled Mahi Tuna in either a burrito or on a Fajita plate along with rice, beans and a side salad. Soups! Try their tortilla soup! It's worth trying at least once .Falling in love afterwards is guaranteed.

remember when Baja Fresh at 2:26pm had a long line..how things have changed

Review #555 None Elite Squad To be honest in my opinion Baja Fresh isn't what it used to be or maybe its because I ate it so much that the flavor doesn't tend to be the same anymore ..hmmmm... especially when I always order the same thing.. anyway, there's a lack of flavor, freshness I dont know what it is but guess what? that doesnt apply to this one because I can honestly say if you're looking for that Baja Fresh taste and freshness from back then this one is on top of that. I went on Thursday Feb 25th around 2:30pm..now yes it was a ghost town but proceeded to order the same thing I have always ordered .. The Nachos with Black beans which has melted cheese, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and I get it with Half Grilled Shrimp and Half wahoo Fish with Shredded Lettuce on Top and it was a Top Notch 5 out of 5 Stars.. Siskel and Ebert would definitely give it 2 Thumbs up! then you can add the Black sauce they have..forgot the name ..extra pico de gallo which they will provide and Bam! We got more items and everyone in my party was happy and satisfied with the chicken and steak items as well. Im giving it 5 stars even though I did have 1 issue.. the cashier which was a man was taking my order.. I started ordering in Spanish cause I felt comfortable ordering in Spanish especially cause he was talking to the cooks in Spanish..well.. he wouldn't give in..he kept talking in English and acted as if he didnt understand my Spanish which by the way my Spanish is Beyond GREAT... I couldn't force him so just stuck to English .. its not a biggie.. the Manager on the other hand which i was gonna talk to in English started talking to me in Spanish so i followed her lead...anyways ..5 stars all the way

I usually don't order burritos especially years ago I had ordered a breakfast burrito from a generic lunch truck. I was really hungry and my luck first couple of bites and i bit into something hard...thinking it might be a small stone from the beans...NOT, it was a RUSTED SCREW HEAD. After that incident, just tacos for me, so you can see what's in it. Today I wanted to break from my fear! The SuperMex was so GOOD, I ate the whole thing. Asada was very tasty..I took their recommendation, plus they added freshly chopped Serranos, since the salsa are very mild. This place reminds me SO MUCH of Avila's El Ranchito in Huntington Park

We loved the old-school vibe immediately. We arrived around 4:45 and waited only 5-10 minutes. Then we saw the fresh tortillas being made and thought, "This could be good!" The atmosphere was relaxed, with full table service and great chips and salsa. We ordered a plate of fajitas to share and a shredded beef taco. Funny enough, I thought I was ordering a taco platter, but one lonely taco arrived on a bed of shredduce. Thankfully, it was excellent. A good shredded beef taco is surprisingly hard to find, and this was my favorite part of the meal. Overall, the food, service and atmosphere were all great. I'll definitely return. I found a parking spot behind the restaurant that felt a little sketchy, but it worked. I'll probably look for street parking next time. 4.5 stars

This is my first time trying their famous burrito "El Abajeño" this thing is MASSIVE! You can easily share this with two, maybe three people. I probably won't get it again due to being so gigantic for one person and in my opinion it's was mostly rice. I'll stick to the regular size burrito and taquitos. We were a bit put off by the bars on the windows, but once we went inside, the place felt more warm and inviting.. authentic you could call it. The menu is very large and it took us some time to read through it. I'm always looking for good carne asada, so decided on the burrito. I told them to put the rice and beans on the side but they said if you get it without them, you don't get them at all. Uh ok. Too many places use the term carne asada but it's really just beef. Here, it's actually steak, and it's really nicely seasoned and was very good. Spicy salsa comes on the side, as does a few chips and... spicy carrots! I love those and very few places seem to have them anymore, so it was a welcomed surprise. I didn't see them on the menu for sides ... I would have liked to have ordered more. My lovely date had the chicken tostada salad and she said it was good, and was too large to finish, so she took the rest home and had it the next day. It looked fresh. Really frustrated and annoyed at the 2% credit card surcharge. I'm not against passing costs along to customers, but I am against doing it in an ala carte way. Just add .25 to my soda, or .50 to my burrito... build it into your pricing and I won't feel it as much. That kind of stuff really bothers me, so sorry, I'm deducting a star for this. The staff seemed friendly and the place was clean. They have been there since the 1960s, so that's really impressive. I would certainly try the burrito again. There looks like a small lot on the side, but we found a spot on the street right out front.

What really sets this place apart is their tequila and mezcal selection. Their back bar and menu feature over 300 bottles, making it one of the most impressive agave spirit collections I've ever seen. I'm from Mexico and when I first moved to the US what I first noticed was that tortillas fall apart here and are bad quality. But at madre you can tell that the tortillas like for the memelas are made in house and are excellent quality with good masa, not just like maizena. The servers are always great, my boyfriend and I love this place. This is where he had chilaquiles for the first time with tasajo and he will eat them elsewhere but nothing compares. The chilaquiles are awesome, better even than many places in Mexico. Good quality ingredients and stuff that you don't find everywhere- huitlacoche, chapulines, etc. When I brought my mom and dad my dad was eating and paused and told me he had forgotten he was in the US for a second and that it felt like home. Love this place a lot and couldn't recommend it more highly. I was reading the reviews from others and it seems clear that this place resonates with people who appreciate the diverse and multi layered tastes of Mexico and who know about the nuances of the cuisine beyond tacos and margaritas. If you want cheap tacos and a margarita this is probably not the vibe. I don't know why people come to a restaurant that has unique and specialized Oaxacan cuisine like the amazing mole and great salsas and hard to find ingredients like huitlacoche and chapulines only to buy like an asada taco and a margarita... lol

When we mentioned the long wait, the servers seemed dismissive and gave us attitude rather than addressing the concern. The coffee was also very watered down. When we brought this up, we again felt that our concerns were not taken seriously. To make matters worse, our receipt was given as one combined bill without clearly itemizing the individual charges. We realized afterward that we may have been overcharged. I have called the restaurant multiple times over the past four days trying to get clarification, but no one has gotten back to me. The food itself was not the main issue--the customer service and lack of accountability were. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves both the organization of the service and the way customer concerns are handled.

The ambiance is very colorful. It's all outdoor dining. You have the chairs match the umbrellas and you feel like you're immediately transported to an Ensenada road side food stand. But what they are known for is their big size, delicious tortas. I ordered the grilled chicken, torta, asada fries, and 2 carnitas tacos. The torta was humongous and packed with cooked marinated chicken, avocado, tomatoes, beans, and sprinkled with cotija cheese. The only thing I suggest they do is to toast the buns a little longer. A nice toasty crunch would make this torta even more fabulous. The asada fries were packed with meat, guacamole, toppings, and fries. It was huge as well. It took 3 people to finish it off. Very delicious! The carnitas tacos were so good! I love that they make fresh corn tortillas and they add pickled red onions on top of a slowly roasted and shredded pork loin.
