Reasonable quick bite at a gas & restroom stop between LA and the Bay Area. Baja Fresh is a good option if you don't want burgers and gourmet steak (Harris across the freeway) Choice of meats, and tortillas. Generally tasty. However, I t's hard to give a 5-star with pre-cooked meats that's not very warm. I do like that the server gave us options to add exactly what we want and don't want on the tacos. Friendly and prompt service Ann's clean tables. Pictures contains current pricing as of 10/2023.

We stopped here on our way to Palm Springs during Thanksgiving and that combined with COVID-19 meant a lot of things were closed, but it was nice to see a Baja Fresh off the freeway. This express location is much more limited compared to traditional locations. They have more of a Chipotle/Panda Express model where you build your own bowl/salad/tacos. They don't have standard menu items or things like shrimp. It's a good, somewhat healthy choice for the road though.

If I could I would give this place 0 stars, The food is absolutely disgusting, the meat is dark and stale, the lettuce well... just look at the picture...

The line is atrocious and takes forever. Food is not bad though, and can be customized! Highly recommend hitting that condiment bar hard! I had a salad bowl with rice, black beans, grilled veggies, and guacamole. Probably should have skipped the guacamole given that the meal cost me $11! Food was fine, kept me full for my drive, and was healthy enough. Don't forget that mango salsa from the condiment bar. Would I be back? Probably not. There are a lot of places to try on 101, but this wasn't too bad!

Brand new, just opened and still somewhat under construction. Thank goodness for Baja Fresh. I stop at this Fast Food and Gas Station exit all of the time. So glad to have good, healthy quick food that's not deep fried. Same exit as Harris Ranch where I5 meets CA198, West side of freeway. It's attached to the Valero Gas Station but a separate business with its own bathrooms. Chicken taco's with green salsa. Mmmmm.. Bookmark this and schedule a rest stop here when traveling through......

The Friendliest staff I've ever come across. Freshly prepared food , I go out of my way to go to this Baja Fresh. Wat can I say I'm a sucker for excellent customer service and good food.

Old wilted lettuce and veggies. I've had a lot of salad bowls with beans and rice and never have any of them looked or tasted so gross.

Food was good! Place was filthy. A little regular cleaning would make this place a good option on the way through.

Ordering was quick and easy through the self-service kiosk, and I was able to enter my rewards number without any issues. My shake was ready in about five minutes, making it a perfect quick stop before getting back on the road. The restaurant itself feels moderately updated and has a welcoming atmosphere. Inside was generally clean, although I did notice a few crumbs on some of the seats and spilled food around the top of the trash can that could have used a little attention. One of the biggest perks of this location is its convenience for EV drivers. It's located right next to a row of Rivian chargers and directly across from Tesla Superchargers, with outdoor picnic tables where you can relax while your vehicle charges. Overall, it was a good experience with friendly, efficient service and a delicious birthday treat. A little more attention to cleanliness would make this location even better, but I'd definitely consider stopping here again during future charging breaks.

The pictures on the posters and kiosk are dramatized and look nothing like them. What you get is a super downsized burger with half melted cheese, half grilled onions, and some sides of fruit flies to set the mood. The bun is 90 percent of the meal. Keep driving! We will never be back.

Double bacon burger combo. Liked burger, fries were bland. I'd ask for extra salt/seasoning next time.

We had read that they accommodated a lot of RVs and people with U-Haul's, etc., so felt safe staying there for the night. Checked in about 9 PM. Everybody was super helpful. We have our cats with us so we were a little stressed out about how it was going to be, but they made sure that we were comfortable and we were in a really nice, large and clean room. I did think that the property is a little bit dated. They've done a good job with upkeep. The only issue I really had was that when I got out of my car there was a very strong animal smell. I asked at the front desk with that smell was, and they said that it was fertilizer that they applied to the fields that night. It was intense. We got up and we're back on the road by 5 AM. Unfortunately we did not get to try the restaurant although I heard that their steakhouse is excellent. Also, the pool looked really beautiful and clean.

Made a pit stop here at Harris Ranch Resort because we have always been curious about this place…read moreand wanted to eat some steaks from the source. Since it's right next to Interstate 5, it is very convenient for t9ad trips doen California. When I initially looked up the restaurant, I was a bit confused because online it seems that they have 4 different restaurants, and I wasn't sure where they are all located. But we just went and followed the signs that said "Restaurant." When we walked in the main entrance, the first thing we saw was the Country Store. To the right is the Horseshoe Lounge, the Prime Steakhouse in the middle, and Ranch Kitchen is towards the end. I think they also have a barbecue restaurant, but in a separate building. This place is massive. We decided to dine at Ranch Kitchen, where there was a huge group of people sitting right outside. I originally thought they were waiting for a table, but they were all just there for the restroom since this seems to be the place to be for pit stops down I-5. It was around 6 PM on Monday, and we got seated pretty quickly. We ordered the 14 oz. Choice Ribeye (medium rare) and the Country Fried Steak. Both included either baked potatoes or mashed potatoes (we opted for baked) and broccoli and carrots. The ribeye also included either a soup or salad, but given the current scare with the lettuce parasite, I opted for the clam chowder. They start you out with hot bread rolls and some salted whipped butter. The ribeye was very tender and delicious. It was well-seasoned and does not need steak sauce or anything. The country fried steak was quite tasty and comes with a massive amount of gravy, the way I like it. Overall, this was a great stop with great food. The service was amazing and the waiter was very attentive. This will definitely be a regular pit stop of ours.
