Staffed with highly unprofessional individuals that require their customers to tell them how to do their jobs.
I have my prescription sent to this pharmacy monthly solely for convenience. It's the nearest pharmacy to me and due to it being a smaller pharmacy they're more likely to have my prescription. Those are the only positives and the only factors that distinguished this review from one star to two.
For the two months I've been receiving my prescription here, the same issue has occurred. I've done my due diligence of calling immediately after my PCP sends my prescription, confirmed its delivery, and when it's advised I pick it up. There's typically a weekend between when I call and pick up and in that time, I call a few times for confirmation.
For some reason, each time I've gone to pick up my prescription there's been some issue that the staff I spoke to repeatedly over the phone failed miserably to communicate. The first time there was an issue with delivery. The second time there was an issue with the prescription itself. Not only is it unprofessional and disgustingly negligent for the staff not to have communicated this until I've showed up the weekend after to pick up my medication, there's also no reason it should be happening as this is a prescription I should be taking daily and as the customer, have done what I've needed to maintain medication management. So here I'm left with a week gap in my medication due to the unprofessionalism and lack of training present at this pharmacy.
Both times the staff at the front desk has refused to accept accountability, instead advising I coach the staff on what they need to do when I call. I must tell them to open my chart, I must then tell them to review the prescription for error. What's next? Must I then tell them how/when to accept the prescription? Perhaps I should then write the call script myself?
As someone working in healthcare myself, I handle administrative tasks daily and it's never crossed my mind to have my clients ask me to open their charts when they call - because what's the point of them providing me their name & DOB otherwise? It's nonsense.
This is apparently going to be a monthly ordeal if trends hold up, so to any reading this review, I advise you treat the staff as they've asked to be treated and clearly need to be treated. As employees lacking adequate and basic pharmaceutical training. Fool me twice, right? read more
