Please do not waste your time in making an appointment for the COVID vaccine…read more A few weeks ago, I made appointment through the Walgreens app for the COVID vaccine. The process was fairly easy. The app was set for both vaccine appointments with the dates and times. My first "appointment" went smooth - although the was no regards given to time of appointment. The "appointment" for the second shot did not go as smooth as the first. The "line" to check-in with someone at the COVID vaccine counter was loosely formed by previous customers. I joined to line awaiting my turn to check-in. A male person walks in asks the person behind me in line: "Is this where you go if you're getting the second shot?" The female person behind was unsure. The male goes to the counter and repeats his question. Apparently, the intake person tells the male person to wait "over there" (seated area) to be seen next. Now, with this is mind, there are several people waiting in line to be seen - some for the first dose, some for the second dose, some with appointments, and make walk-ins. Ergo, this person skipped all persons waiting to attended to by the permission of the intake person behind the counter. This did not sit right me as I am next to be serviced. As I get to the counter, the intake person tells me that I am not next and that the male person is ahead of me. I explained that I was actually standing in line with said "appointment" previous to the male person. The intake person and I exchanged heated words for less than a minute. There is an additional person behind the counter. He appeared to be the one to administer said. He decides to chime in and states: "But there are walk-ins." I told him to use that same energy to organize the "line" and not to interject, if he was not going to help. The intake person conceded. I was next to have the second shot - or so I thought. I waited an additional fifteen minutes. The tech comes out and - once again - calls for the male person who came in AFTER me. At this point, I made my way in search of a store manager. I explained the situation to the store manager. We walked back to the pharmacy area. Manager speaks with tech. Manager apologies. I accept. Tech apologies several times. I completed the vaccination. Why does it have to go to this level of absurdity? Several factors come to mind: (1) Although, the store located in an area of white-collar workers with median income ~$82,000 - it's predominately people of color, (2) alpha male energy thinking they can speak to someone any kind of way without regard, and (3) lack of effective communication skills. The pharmacy techs need a bit more direction on how to organize the area for COVID vaccinations and working with the public.

Blatant cowards. They then flatly refused to provide the name of the so-called 'pharmacist' or any of the dispensing staff on duty. These cowards actively hide behind anonymity because they know exactly how negligent and unprofessional their behavior was and are terrified of facing any consequences for their denial of care. If necessary, demand a full corporate compliance audit complete with employee login logs, transaction timestamps, and surveillance footage from that shift so these faceless hacks can finally be identified and held accountable for their pathetic display of incompetence. Luckily there is a drunk that hangs outside the store named Benjamin, often providing interesting stories. If you don't mind the smell, he's quite the riot. Update. Benjamin is not a drunk. He's actually the pharmacist. Sorry for the confusion. Benjamin Min Hyun Donovan

This pharmacy takes me back to the 90s and 2000s…read more Went there to buy a shampoo and cosmetics for my sister but the shampoo smells like paint or plaster and the bottle looks beige. I decided to either throw it away or return it. Same with the makeup, it was a covergirl lipgloss that was stay in the shelf since the early 2000s and it cost me $3, Like why this pharmacy kept these cosmetics that was from 20+ years? No one wants to buy expired makeup and shampoo! The interior of the pharmacy looks like your time traveling to the 90s and 2000s: Beige shelves, white fluorescent lights, white office ceiling, white vinyl floors, and the 90s style aisle signage. All that except the weight scale that you have to insert 25 cents which tells your weight and your fortune and a sticker vending machine. The staff there are very friendly and helpful for my purchase (that's why I add two stars) but overall don't go to this pharmacy, they sell expired makeup and expired hair products and I don't dare to buy food and medicine in that rundown pharmacy!

A doctor prescribed me a medication and an antibiotic in July. I was able to pick up the antibiotic just fine but there was a back order for the other medication until 22. I came back few days after 22 planning to pick up the medication. There still none available I came back Aug 12 I believe and I'm told that it will take a few hours I ask if it's okay if I come a few days after they said that should be fine. This part is important. It is now AUGUST 16th. I went to the pharmacy and they are now telling me that MY doctor had cancelled it on August 5. So someone let me know how the pharmacy went from being a few hours to fulfill my medication to now my doctor cancelling it on Aug 5th. The pharmacist now comes out and she is looking as well. At first she says she couldn't find me in the system, then the story switches to well there's a backup you have to ask your doctor for a new prescription So my medication is: 1) been cancelled by my doctor 2) is in a perpetual state of being in back order 3) not even in the system to begin with Either way a month of waiting for the medication now wasted. Not to mention there had apparently been another medication that my doctor informed me about that I had been prescribed and just never received. They desperately need to reorganize that whole system.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY!!!! THEY DISCRIMINATE AGAINST PEOPLE OF COLOR…read more I'm writing this on behalf of my friend who had a horrible experience at this pharmacy today. She went in to buy some hair dye and was carrying a small plastic bag with her. While trying to send a quick picture of the product to her mom, an employee aggressively approached her, snatched the dye and her bag from her hand, and accused her of doing something wrong -- without any explanation. The employee claimed that customers aren't allowed to bring bags in, even though there were no clear signs stating that rule and no one said anything when she walked in. On top of that, my friend was wrongly accused of opening a box, even though she clearly explained she just moved an already opened one to the side to grab a fresh product. She even offered to have them check the cameras to prove it. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the employee continued to treat her disrespectfully, making rude comments loud enough for her to hear. My friend felt humiliated and disrespected. She still made her purchase but was so upset by the experience that she cried when she got home. No customer deserves to be treated this way. The management at this location seriously needs to retrain their staff on how to treat people with basic respect and professionalism. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. Disgusting. The woman who disrespected and profiled her was a coolie woman with glasses.
