I'm amazed at how different my son's experience with braces was, compared to mine. His experience was a positive one and he never complained about his braces once! Having had braces before (but didn't wear my retainer properly) the last thing I wanted was braces. My teeth shifted so much over the years that I was having trouble with my bite. This office advertises as a participating provider. I was charged full amount well over $ 1,100.00 for a crown upfront before i could be treated. No office staff advised getting a pre approval first. I had to bring it to their attention that i was overbilled. Then i was told i would receive a refund if the insurance paid. I was wrong to agree to this and paid upfront because i so needed the procedure. It took me a month to receive a refund of $ 473.40 and i had to fight for it. i not only paid them but my dental insurance paid them as well. They held my money even after MetLife indicated they would pay. I have never experienced anything like this in all of the years i have visited dental practices. I am 69 years old. The office aide named Ava was very demeaning and needs to learn how to respect and speak properly to the customer. Her attitude and approach to the public is unacceptable. I have been so tempted to report this incident as elder abuse and feel bad for any elderly person who does not understand these procedures. Needless to say, my husband and i will not return.

We have only been coming here for about two years. I actually use to bowl with him many years ago so I decided to become a patient of his along with my children. He and his staff are very friendly and professional but also provide a laid back atmosphere. I think this is important considering that most hate going to the Dentist. Most recently, my 8-year old had to get braces on his top teeth. He was a nervous wreck but again he and his staff calmed his fears and the experience was a good one for my little one. They are very gentle with the kids so much so that they looked forward to going for their cleanings. This is HUGE as we don't have to "pull teeth" to get them to go to the dentist. Im a funny guy ain't ?! Luckily, I have decent dental coverage but I must say that the fifth star eludes them because the pricing on their services are a little higher than others. Ok, here is my experience with the doc. I had two teeth…read morebothering me, on/off pain. Called the office and got an appointment fairly quickly. X rays were taken, a good cleaning, then the exam by the doc. The doc tells me I need two fillings replaced, simple procedure, will solve my problem. I make an appointment to have this done. I will have to wait a month but I figure I can tough it out. So the day comes, I arranged to take the day off work and was so glad to have this fixed. Then the doc pulls the ole bait and switch on me. Now he tells me he can't replace the fillings. I ask can he pull the tooth ? The ole doc tells me no, then tries referring me to one of us buddies to have the tooth pulled. Then he got mad because I would not accept a referral to have his buddy pull the tooth. and embarrassed me in front of other patients in the waiting room. To those of you who have had a good experience with the doc I say God bless. My experience was terrible and will let everyone who will listen know what was done to me. Totally unethical.
