How many years will Gorman let this field go unattended? I understand there may be a lack of funding. Also, there is no microwaves available to students to have hot lunches. This is possibly due to state regulations. When will Gorman address this? No worries because on campus learning is completely optional. Furthermore, it seems that Gorman learning center is turning into a brick-and-mortar style school system which will perhaps develop into overpopulated classrooms if they keep letting students enroll. I understand on campus course and activities are optional tho.....No worries Well, if your considering Gorman Learning Center you're on the right track, as there are more benefits to this establishment than my own selfish and perhaps petty gripes. The AV Wall is a half-scale replica of the Vietnam War Memorial Wall in Washington D.C., and it is a mobile Vietnam war memorial that can be easily viewed by residents within Southern California. Check out their website at www.avwall.org. It is only displayed a small number of times each year, and display locations can be found on their website. There is also an option to donate to this worthy cause through their website. In observance of Veterans Day this year, I chose to visit the AV Wall at Westpark Elementary School as my way of showing kindness, admiration and respect for our Veterans. In my opinion, nothing is more honorable than a person willing to serve their country for the benefit of all those within it. While visiting, I met some kind individuals who were volunteers for this display, all of whom have served their country. I enjoyed just standing there while listening to their experiences, some fascinating and some tragic, with the magnificence of this awesome memorial as a background. If you have the ability to check out this tribute, please do so. If you miss this temporary display at Westpark Elementary, and you live in Southern California, then be sure to check out the AV Wall website for future viewing opportunities. Loved their graduation too with their cute ceremony. Ms. Nancy is like my daughter's grandma. She loves all the kids. She teaches not just curriculum but also manners. There's structures so the kids were not all over the place unlike other preschool. She is really a good teacher and a wonderful person.
