I have had my son in Joyful Junction for a year now and it was the best decision for our family! We have had reliable childcare Monday through Friday from 6 to 6 for a very reasonable cost. We love the teachers and the teachers love the kids. Anytime there is an incident we are immediately notified about anything that happens and I truly appreciate the structure that they give my son. He has learned and grown so much being around the teachers and while interacting with other children his age. Would definitely recommend Joyful Junction. read more

I love Joyful Junction, as a mom of two I couldn't feel happier that they go here for child care. They have wonderful weekly curriculum and they work with the kids so well. My kids have excelled while there. They are 2.5 and 5 and we have gone there for a few years now. I feel like they are in such a safe and healthy environment. We have sent our kids here for the last 7 years and cannot recommend it enough. Extremely high quality programming that excellently prepared our kids for elementary school, compassionate and dedicated staff, and a director/owner who is so devoted to children and relentlessly devoted to making magical memories for the kids. In a major city, this would be one of those daycares that would have some years long waitlist and cost a painful amount. We are so lucky to have Joyful Junction in our little town!! read more

Most EXPENSIVE. Most UNRELIABLE child care facility in Tehachapi. Just over glorified babysitting at a ridiculous price. Understaffed for the amount of children in the classrooms. We had a good experience at first then after a few months it went South pretty quick. We do NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I cannot speak highly enough of Joyful Junction. My two children have gone there since one year old and now one is in Kinder at joyful. The curriculum and all the special events they put on for the kids is absolutely wonderful. Jessica and the staff really care for the children and it's apparent the moment you walk in. We are fostering our two year old grandaughter, and it's loving but difficult at the same time. Joyful Junction has provided a caring, nurturing, supportive and loving environment for her. I just wanted other parents to know our experience because I would want to know. My daughter is 4 and attended there for 3 months before pulling her out. When we first toured Joyful Junction, we were very pleased with the happy receptionist, the preschool teacher she would have and the facilities. But after a month of being there, the school quickly went down hill. Her wonderful teacher quit after being there I think for 7 or 8 years because of the director Jessica. At the same time, the receptionist quit probably for the same reason. The front desk was unmanned for at least 2 weeks where anyone could have just walked in and taken a child. My daughter went through 2 more teachers the last 2 months in which another teacher quit after only being there a month. One day we showed up with the 3rd teacher being there and no communication to the parents about the change. It also started to stink in the school like it wasn't being cleaned. My daughter also came home sick almost every time. The last straw was when my husband picked her up around 4pm, my daughter was barefoot in the classroom doing crafts by herself at the table while the other children were watching a movie and the teachers were talking in the back and on their cell phones. I am not going to pay $325 for "preschool" when they are showing movies and not teaching. I wanted her to be prepped for Kindergarten. After the last incident, my husband and I went into Joyful Junction to "disenroll" her and talk to the director Jessica. She had left early so we left a message for her to call us. She called us about 30 minutes later from her cell phone. She asked us why we were unhappy so they could improve the school. After each reason, she never apologized and made an excuse for everything. She did not take any responsibility for anything. We asked for a prorated refund since we paid for a whole month and she only went 2 days. Jessica said she couldn't do that and we said it was unfair since they didn't live up to their part of the bargain. And after talking over us and not listening, we hung up. She then proceeded to text me which is very unprofessional for a director of a school. She said she would consider a refund if we came into talk. I told her we said everything we needed to and we would appreciate a refund. I then received long paragraph texts with more excuses and again stating she wouldn't refund us. You can definitely see that a director of a school cannot manage her employees and the quality of care when she teaches all day every day. She decided to teach a class after yet another teacher quit. Jessica, the director, also texted us stating we should not write a bad review since it wouldn't be very Christian of us to hinder a school who loves God. Well we believe in God and I don't think Jesus would have treated us the way Jessica treated us. She was very rude. And from the high teacher turnover, I don't think she treats her employees well. I also think God would want children to have the best care. Sorry for the long review but wanted everyone to know the facts. We will be putting our daughter in a different school. I would encourage you to look at all your options for schools and childcare. There are some other good ones out there. Joyful Junction seems to be the biggest but definitely not the best. read more

My kids have been going to Joyful Junction since they were 3 and 4, they're now 7 and 8 and my youngest started when she was very young. We love joyful Junction. The teachers are kind and loving, the director, Jessica, is always helpful, and there is no doubt that they pray for my kids like they were their own. I recommend them to anyone. read more

This is a school that has a great reputation with great programs and activities. Lots of younger teachers who look like they just graduated. But my only issue is that they let my daughter and other kids take off their shoes to play outside. It kind of bothers me because I do not want my kids feet dirty when we go home on my clean floor. We don't wear shoes in our home. Plus I never let my kids go barefoot outside. Another issue is that my kid wanted her shoes taken off before she hops in her nap sheets during nap time. The teacher told her to keep them on. I don't want my kid laying on her sheets with bacteria from the kids restroom on it. Some teachers love their job but I see some who are not as motivated. The school cost a lot of money but unsure if its worth the money. read more

Love this school! The teachers are very caring and love the kids as if they were their own. My kids had attended here almost 2 years when we left for the summer. When they came back, their teachers were so excited to see them, one was literally watching out the window for them to arrive. They have great programs, a dedicated staff and are always willing to work with the parents however possible. Would highly recommend! read more

I am not a kind of person who commented or giving bad reviews but I think this is the time. I enroled my daughter to Joyful and start her class December 5 2016. Even this school is expensive than other it's Ok because I want the best care for my daughter.Jessica(the director) says she gonna give me pro-rated since my daughter started DEC5 but I still pay the whole tuition fee since I didnt receive any pro-rated bills. At first they are all nice to my daughter I know because I'm there most of the time. After two weeks since I started working I send her 9am to 12nn even I paid full day (mwf- 6am to 6pm, 435$) . She's been there 3 to 4 hrs only because I need to feed her Our food (asian food) she doesn't like their food there. When I worked full time last January I dont have time to be there and checked my daughter every single hrs but still We send her only 3 to 4 hrs and my Mother In-law pick her up to feed and stay at home after her class. Until the last incident, no one gonna pick up my daughter at 12 and im off to work at 3pm. So my daughter stay there till 3pm. When I picked her up Her whole face is so red and she had a high fever and cough. There is two young women in the classroom talking to each other but that is not My daughter's teacher which is miss.Sydney. I ask them why my daughter is so red and no one call me to pick her up, their response is only because she just woke up and talk again while I putting my daughters jacket and I leave right away. I give her a medicine and I call my husband. I dont know what to do (To be honest I just came here 2 yrs ago from other country) so I dont know how to be on emergency if ever my daughter colapse because of high fever. But when my husband came from work she's kinda ok although she still have fever, then We set up a doctors appointment on the other day. I call Jesicca about what happened last January 16 and tell her that my daughter got sick maybe because they send my daughter outside even it too cold.That day when i picked up my daughter around 3pm there's some kids playing outside but the teacher is inside the gym just looking to other kids(meaning even the teacher can't handle how cold outside) they have cctv tho if they want to checked it. And I ask her not to send my daughter outside and just stay at the classroom if ever i pick her up later that 12. Jessica says no because no one gonna take care of my daughter inside classroom. And she just says that most of the children that time got sick and there's a virus all over the school.Thats why my daughter is on the other classroom that day because some of her classmate is sick. So me and my husband talked and decided to stop her for the mean time since its too cold and they can't do anything about our concern. So I call Jessica to stop my daughters for this winter season and send her back after winter. I didnt ask for any refund even I pay 435 for the full amount of january and I just used there service just 5 days. All I want is to full out my daughters for the mean time but she says no i need to pay the 30 days notice and to send my daughter another 30 days from that incident. So I told her guarantee me that my daughter will not be sick anymore in that expand of 30 days otherwise you gonna pay for her doctors and medicine. My reason on fulling my daughters because you cant do anything not to send my daughter outside because of cold weather and about the viruses all over your school. Jessica says thats our rules and policy but my point is you didnt do our bargain too, to taking care of my daughter. What if i pick her up 6pm what happen to my daughter. She's my only daughter so give me a good reason to still send my daughter after that incident. You only care about your policy and money and what do you think about the bargain (to takecare of my daughter)? Then I talked to Amy Applegate the one who also complaint about this school on the reviews section just recently (I dont know her personally but I message her) She says she didnt pay 30 days notice or any pro-rated. But she didn't get any refund. But me I didnt ask for any refund all I want is to stop my daughter cause i dont want her to be sick again and still Jessica want me to pay the full amount of 30 days notice. And Jessica says she gonna send me on court. I told her Go, you're trying to bully me since you know that I'm new here in America. Why on Amy you didnt ask for pro rated and on me you want me to pay the full 30 days even i didnt availed that service. We both have a complaint. So be carefull of this school they are Christian school but the Director Jessica dont know how to be Christian or even have a mother heart. She's so rude,I'm a nice person , So if I'm rude to you from now on asked yourself. She's only my daughter so I hope you know the feelings. read more
