This was our first time visiting this place . We sat at the bar and the bartender was great as far as being helpful and made great recommendations. The atmosphere was cool . There were some pretty cool drinks served by the bartender although we just drank beer. The beer selection was ok. I wish they had a bigger selection of craft beers especially the local breweries. They did have a few and they have their own beers. Wife had the coconut shrimp tacos that were awesome. I had the seafood panella this was very good but I liked the shrimp tacos better. Food was delicious. We ordered jerk wings and tostada salmon salad. It didn't even need dressing! Waiter was amazing and so attentive. He was an older Caucasian man. (Bald) I think JOE My only negatives are the wings were smaller than usual. (We visit yearly) When we came they said the wait was 2 hours due to reservations (because covid limited seating) So I went online and make a reservation that was 10 min from the time we got there and was able to be seated. Horrible service. The place is not even packed, like usual. Started off by not having any silverware. We were informed that there wasn't any available -__- really?! When the silverware finally arrived, it was filthy with pieces of food still on the forks. So much for "washing" them. Our drinks were NEVER refilled. I used to love coming here but with such a horrible experience, I don't see myself coming back. Delicious! This place always looks busy driving past, and now it makes sense! The pineapple drink and the ultimate piña colata were both really good! They tasted very similar to each other, but if you're looking for a fresh pineapple to scoop after you're done drinking, I'd suggest the pineapple. For food, the Jamaican sampler and paella were also both very good! Both dishes were about $20, but both had enough food to take home after. The only thing I did not care for was the greens that come with the sampler - they were a bit tasteless. Dessert - oooohhh my! The coconut dessert is delightful! The ice cream it comes with is the bomb! And the cake is moist and warm. I just wish they cut the coconut flesh inside so you could eat the coconut after too. Amazing, just perfect. We almost got turned away at the door but a waiter stopped the manager who was asking us to leave bc she said they were too busy but he took us and he did an amazing job. We also got the pina colada it was amazing and the tequila seared salmon. read more

This place has gone downhill. Our server was the only good part. We started off with a guacamole appetizer. We were excited to try their plantain chips. I was disappointed to find out that the red tortilla chips are the plantain chips of that dish?? What a let down. The guacamole was also sour with a strong onion taste. Wouldn't recommend at all. I tried to order a salad but asked for one of the fruits to be removed due to allergies and was told it was all already premixed and couldn't be customized. My pasta that I ordered instead was not too bad, though. Yay for jerk chicken pasta! My boyfriend ordered the blackened Mahi-Mahi tacos. When the tacos came out, we were surprised to see it was literally just the meat in a tortilla with a few pieces of tomato on top. :( the fries were good! Salty but good! There last night. Seated in the bar area, close to the kitchen. The floor was covered in grease and a slip hazard. Went to use the bathroom, after dinner and had to watch every step I took. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and had an enjoyable time. We were told that there would be a 30 minute wait, but we were able to be entertained at the bar. The bartender was attentive and provided her recommendations, which we acted on. I was pleased with my serving size of the Bahamamarita. Although the Aruba Red was not available, my husband was happy with the Yuengling, since that's his regular choice. Once seated, we were promptly greeted by our server who provided her recommendations and told us that the paella was very large. My husband got the paella and I ordered the seared Ahi Tuna. The dishes arrived within 20 minutes and served to our liking. We were checked in on frequently and drinks remained refreshed. I would recommend both dishes and dining here. read more

Very cool place, Pasta is good and I love their Long Islands. Definitely worth the visit.

Our experience started out very promising with prompt and courteous service and a great appetizer of beef empanadas. But, then we waited for an hour for our food to arrive and could not get drink refills until the manager came over to help. The food was really good once it came but the service could have been better. The server was super nice just not very attentive. We will try BB again but probably at a different location. read more

The look and feel of the place definitely makes me miss the Bahamas. Unfortunately, I should have tried more of the island-like dishes. The steak Oscar wasn't very flavorfull. I went for medium well and it was pretty dry. The asparagus didn't carry much flavor. I pretty much had to add sauce to get something out of it. It's a little sad since i think about tons of flavor when i think of island dishes. I've had the chicken breast dish as well it made me shy away from ordering their Jerk Chicken dish... it lacked flavor as well. I hope that they can give more love to the dishes with the seasonings.... even the less more american dishes that they have. read more

Had not been here in 15 or more years and was pleased to see it was just as good as when it opened originally. Server worked hard to take care of us, and even managed to fInd me a some chips. Over the years, since they first opened, I have been here with my sweetheart and dine birthdays with my kids, been here for drinks and raggae on our date night but I haven't been here in a while until this last visit. So let's see, one of my total favorites was always conch chowder and as crazy as it sounds theirs was better than any conch chowder from Key Largo to Key West. Rediculous as it seems that the actual Conch Republic came up short on their chowder but seriously I have traveled all up and down the keys sampling the Comch chowder and key lime pie to find the very best. My conclusions were 1. A chain restaurant Bahama Breeze has better chowder and 2. Cocunut Willie's, a Gulf Shores locally owned restaurant had the best Key lime pie. So Willie's was destroyed by a hurricane a few years back and now Bahama Breeze has done away with their Conch chowder, seriously?!?! The only conch on the menu is yjr conch fritters and not a replacement for the chowder they are pretty tasty but I'm still a little ticked. To go with my fritters I had some jerk chicken wings and the Cuban sandwich. I actually have had jerk chicken wings in Jamaica and theses ste mot them but they're not all that bad either. However while that Cuban sandwich is embarrassing compared to any of the ones I've had in Miami beach in fact I've had better Cuban sandwiches in Virginia beach, they'e pretty dry, lacking spice of any kind on tasteless bread. As for the restaurant experience the deal is inconsistent everything. There was a period when everything from beginning to end was outstanding and others when there were dirty dishes stacked around with long waits for food and you'd have to go to the bar outside to get your own drink or refill. It's been up and down over and over with new managers, etc. So, as of this visit the service is pretty good, the food is not as good as it has been when they've been at their best and overall is okay. Entertainment on the patio with tropical drinks on the rare occasion that there is actually a breeze in Memphis is still a good place to be but manage your ecpectations and be prepared to hold their feet to the fire and make sure that your food gets to you hot, tasty and timely and the same for your drinks, if not hey they're not doing their best and #1 you're paying a premium #2 if you don't help them do a better job then they could be shut down and then the closest thing Memphis has to a talapa bar or beach bar would be gone, and #3 nobody wants that. Decided to try something different for my Birthday dinner & was very disappointed. First off let me say our server was very sweet & courteous & that's about the best it's gonna get. Everyone wearing Island Vibe shirts so was thinking ok this seems cool let's have some drinks. My wife & I wanted to order some beers but to our surprise no beer "on tap" not even their signature Aruba Red or Honey Blonde, Server says their taps have been down for a long time? Also the bottle beer selection was very limited. We ordered an appetizer & our 2 entrees & all 3 came to the table at the same time? What's the point of an appetizer if it comes with the dinner? My pasta dish was incorrect on delivery as I ordered the jerk shrimp & they brought me chicken. By the time we finished our appetizer my wife's dinner was almost cold & mine was still back in the kitchen being remade. By the time my entree arrived my wife was finished with her meal so we were able to watch each eat. On a positive the meal itself was pretty decent when it finally came out & they give you plenty of shrimp so good price for the portion. Not sure I would come back anytime soon. Came here with my boyfriend, his brother and brother's girlfriend. Every single one of us enjoyed ourselves from the time we sat down (which was immediately since we called and reserved a seat) until the time we left. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. I love caribbean food and this place is a caribbean food lover's paradise. Their plantains, jerk/caribbean chicken and tropical drinks are very refreshing. I typically order the jerk chicken pasta and it is one of the best items on the entree menu. The last time I visited, I tried the lobster and shrimp pasta. It was very good as well. Holy cow! My husband and I are always looking for fun, laid-back environments for our few date nights out sans kids. We received a coupon on in the mail to Bahama Breeze which is just down the road from us and decided to try it out. We were not at ALL disappointed with our evening! From start to finish we had a wonderful evening. Our waiter was fantastic and recommended the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Shrimp & Grits. We ended up ordering them both and both meals were so amazing I could cry! Their grits are the BEST I've ever had and I can't wait to have them again. The chicken was amazing. So so amazing.
