Really disappointed. Our family has been coming here for 20 years. I'm done. My daughter called in an order. I heard it. I picked up her bagel and when I got home it was not what we ordered. I went back and the staff were so rude. They told me that it was my fault. They told me I was told what I got. Why would I have left with the wrong bagel? .They wouldn't give me the new bagel unless I gave her the wrong bagel so they could throw it out in front of me. So wrong on so many levels. No apologies, so wrong! We have choices in town to buy a bagel and they will not be one. What's sadder, we have been loyal customers for 20 years. read more

Bagels here are really good. It's hard to find a good bagel shop in the area but this one is comparable to a NY bagel. The bagel is slightly sweet and soft on the inside while crusty on the outside. The work flow seemed clunky as the "line" (cluster?) didn't flow well, most likely due to the seasonal rush, as the workers fought over the register. This place is cash only. Terrible service. Maybe try repeating orders back to customers so you get it right. After messing up my sandwich by putting it on a completely different bagel and having it sit for 20 minutes, til I asked where my order was and they told me it was incorrect. The girl then took the meat off the one bagel and but it only the other and handed it to me. I think it's wrong it wasn't made fresh and wrong I was charged for a sandwich that was cold. The worst place ever. Wrong order rude staff manager unprofessional. Wrong item, missing item, I wrong item was partially out of container when served. This place is a rip-off, I purchased 6 Muffins and they charged me $17.58. When I asked the young lady behind the counter what each Muffin cost she told me $2.93 each. Just a few months ago muffins were $1.75 each. Clearly they are "Price Gouging". The gluten free bagels are not also vegan. Giving this 2 stars because I told them on the phone that I am also vegan and they still let me leave with two non-vegan bagels. Glad I bought one still in the package, or I would've started eating it. The number 1 ingredient in GF bagels is cheese. If somebody mentions they are vegan, please be aware whether or not your products have animal product in them. Other than that I'm sure this place is lovely. Best bagels for miles! Freshly made all morning, too many varieties to choose from. Always tasty! Their muffins are great. My son is a big fan if the cinnamon swirl muffin, but they are hit or miss, as they can sell out and you have to wait days for them to make more. Check out their weekday sandwich specials. For $3 their chicken salad can't be beat! This is the place for a bacon, egg, and cheese in the morning. read more

I'd like to give the bagels 5 stars but every Bagels & Beyond location (Little Egg Harbor, Manahawkin, LBI) all have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm not sure if this is because it's usually teenagers working but they're so unfriendly. It's like give me your order, don't ask questions, give me your cash! To make matters worse you can't hear them behind the counter with plexiglass and masks on and then they want to give you an attitude!! I would recommend calling ahead during holiday weekends because this small shop can be very busy on weekends, but it's not hard to see why. This shop has the BEST bagels in town, and with so many options you'll definitely be able to find something you like. I usually just grab a dozen fresh bagels and keep them for myself for the next 1-2 weeks, but this shop also has delicious sandwiches. Bagels were very good. Definitely fresh. They had a little crisp on the outside but were soft and delicious on the inside. Only negative that pushed this 5 star review to a 4 star review was that the teenage girl helping us seemed annoyed that we asked for 2 of each kind of bagel. The BEST bagels around. Bagels here are fresh every morning, soft on the inside but not heavy and doughy like a lot of other bagel shops' bagels. They make awesome breakfast sandwiches on your choice of a variety of rolls, bread, or bagels. They also have their own-made cream cheese flavors, some of which are quite unique (jalapeno!?) and have a wide variety of bagel flavors, including healthier options like whole wheat or pumpernickel. It's very busy in summers, especially on the weekends so be prepared to wait in line or call in your order. The girls who prepare your orders are not terribly friendly when it's busy but on slower days, they're quite nice, actually. read more

Great place! Customer service is horrible and everyone seems to have an attitude. Some of the basic customer service techniques are not in use and its hard to understand why. For their information, you work at a bagel shop in a small town in NJ, If you are miserable working at a establishment like this, its time for a career change. But if working at a Bagels & Beyond is the goal of your life than I suggest taking a look in the mirror and understanding that this is your life and you are choosing to be outwardly miserable to customers that are happy to see you. Taking the time to understand this phenomena will not change your effort or attitude I'm sure, but its important to understand no one cares how miserable you are in the world especially those ordering food.
