My experience here was poor. The bagel took over 15 minutes to make, then they gave me pork sausage instead of turkey. The bagel and egg did not taste right to begin with. I'm not sure if I'd be back for that. I will say they had cakes and other things in the store I might have tried.

Pork Roll, egg and cheese on a garlic bagel

The best darn bagel that I have ever had! The bagel was so good. It was soft on the inside and had a slight crunch on the bottom. The pork Roll had a nice flavor as well. I am absolutely going to return to try other items.

Inside of the place. Good food, service that needs work.

Came here on a recommendation from a neighbor. I decided that I wanted a bagel after running at the gym. Came in and looked at the bagels. I noticed that not one person behind the counter would acknowledge me but they would walk by and make eye contact. They knew i was standing there but I decided to ask the 2 girls standing right in front of me if I ordered where I was or where would I go. After an awkward second of not getting a reply, one girl pointed to the register. They weren't busy enough to ignore someone and at least say, do you need help. Nope, just straight up let me ignore you while I look at you in the eye. Too bad because the bagel I got was actually really good. Take a second that if someone seems lost or just standing there, offer a quick " do you need help" "morning" or just "did you want to order something" instead of walking by. I wont be back.

I think this bagel spot struggles with inconsistency. Some days I go and the bagels are good. Another day I come home with my bagel and it was just thrown into the bag with the bacon and egg all over the place. One time there will be enough bacon on the bagel and the next there's barely any. I've given this place a few shots but I don't think I will be back!

Bagel Case - pretty good

The bagels are pretty good. The coffee is meh and the rest of the menu is not worth the prices being charged. I'd suggest sticking to the bagels and making your own sandwiches as home. The staff is a mixed bag of very friendly people intermixed with folks who act like they'd rather be anyplace else. Inside has a decent amount of seating but not really enough. The restaurant parking is really a problem. There are few spots and when you leave, the bushes make it hard to see cars coming from the right; use caution when exiting to the left.

Just a glance at the inside of the restaurant it's very clean well kept. Constantly saw somebody going around cleaning the tables.

The Ruben Don't have a lot of meat on the sandwich. Was disappointed with it. Get extra meat, also had potato salad.

Bluegrass bagels is popular! Especially on Saturday mornings. Thankfully they are efficient. The long line to order moves quickly since the smiling cashier takes the orders efficiently. I appreciate how she communicates clearly and confirms the order to ensure it is placed correctly. They call out your name when it is ready. Seating is available nearby so you can sit comfortably as you wait. If you don't have time to wait you can place an order online in advance. The counter to the left of the cash register is reserved for picking up online orders. I ordered at the register and received my accurate order in about 15 min. It probably took me more time to decide what to order since there are so many options! They don't just have bagels and bagel sandwiches. They have numerous baked goods and treats available plus frozen dinner entrees like chicken parmesan and shrimp scampi. Other information: -Ample parking spots available in two lots -Ample indoor seating at tables and booths -Several tables available for dining outside -Multiple entrances/exits which keep one area from becoming over crowded -WiFi information posted -Prices and portions are reasonable -Comfortable atmosphere with low volume Only complaint is that you do have some cross contamination between the bagel flavors. The bottom of my garlic bagel tasted like cinnamon sugar. Not desirable but not a deal breaker as this is common in bagel shops. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and recommend this establishment to others!

We went here multiple times on our trip. It was that good. The first time I walked in, it reminded of a spot in Jersey we used to go to. I loved the atmosphere. Take a look around at all the goodies and when your ready You order at the register. The 1st time we came in I was just picking up bagels and cream cheese, which the bagels are fantastic. They have a beautiful crust and soft inside. They toasted all our bagels for us which was nice. Our second visit we ate inside and got a plain bagel with cream cheese, a French toast bagel that was really really good. And got one of these melt in your mouth cinnamon rolls that were so yummy. The third day we got a kids pancake with sausage that the pancake was really good. I wish it wasn't served in Styrofoam and I also got a slice of carrot cake which tasted like it had been sitting in the case for awhile It wasn't that great. But overall the bagels were fantastic and so are they're cinnamon rolls!

Decided to stop by to try a bagel for breakfast, and wow! Not only is this bagel spot not just about bagels, but they have so many options for meals - from breakfast to dinner! They do frozen meals for families and can do delivery. The staff is also very helpful and can answer any questions. I ordered a breakfast wrap with bacon and pepper jack cheese and my husband got the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. The wrap came out steaming, and stayed hot throughout the meal. They did a great job wrapping the ingredients within the tortilla, so every bite was the perfect ratio of eggs, bacon and cheese. My husband thought the cream cheese was really good - it was lightly whipped and creamy, not heavy/dense. The bagel was also light and fluffy on the inside. They also have plentiful seating, indoors and outdoors! So this is a great spot to grab lunch and sit outside on a nice day! 9/10 - huge fan! We now have a go-to bagel spot! I'm definitely coming back to try those strawberry shortcake cups and cakes :p

Audrey took the time to explain everything to us and answer all our questions from what sauces I could eat being lactose intolerant to what would be a good replacement for the one sauce that contained dairy and what her favorite bowl was. She was terrific! I had the Spicy Ahi Aloha Bowl with green beans instead of broccoli and Citrus Ginger sauce instead of Creamy Wasabi, and my husband had the Teriyaki Tiki Bowl. We enjoyed our first visit and will be back again!

The entire menu is gluten-free so if you have celiac come on down! I got the aloha poke bowl and it was a knockout. Girlfriend got the steak and Mac and I tried a bite and it was on point. We got the trio of desserts and the zucchini brownie was the only thing that wasn't good...not even remotely, yuck! The chocolate chip was okay but the snickerdoodle was outstanding...we'd get only it next time. I dig the vibes, somewhat Bahama-esq Hawaiian beach themed. Make me feel like I'm down in Florida. They definitely need a better sign from the road to remind people they are there...I forget every time I drive by which is often....if they could make themselves more visible I think they'd have way more business and I want them to get more business so they stay open so we can keep coming back. Everything was fresh and portion sizes, including protein portions, were great. Service was fast and with a smile. Definitely a fan.

We struck up conversations with several locals, including a few fellow educators--and even our bartender. There's a genuine sense of community here, and the atmosphere is friendly, relaxed, and welcoming. I went with the Fried Green Tomato BLT, a creative take on the classic sandwich. Instead of the usual tomato, it features two crisp fried green tomatoes paired with candied bacon, lettuce, fresh tomato, and roasted garlic aioli. The combination works particularly well--the tangy, slightly tart fried green tomatoes provide a great contrast to the sweet, smoky bacon, while the roasted garlic aioli brings everything together. At $12, it's a very satisfying lunch. I paired it with a pilsner. The beer selection is particularly noteworthy, given the restaurant's connection to Mason Jar Lager Co., the local Fuquay-Varina brewery. It's a nice touch that reinforces the tavern's connection to the local community. Overall, The Mason Jar Tavern is an exceptionally good casual restaurant--comfortable, welcoming, and the kind of place where you can come in for lunch and easily find yourself lingering a little longer than planned.

The goat cheese is a nice touch. But today is my birthday, so I ordered the ribeye sandwich. It's the best. It's like a Philly Cheesesteak, but instead they use red peppers and American cheese. I am from Wisconsin and though it is sacrilegious to boast about American cheese, I'm telling you it's the best switch up steak sandwich I've ever eaten. I'm never eating another Philly cheesesteak AGAIN. And if I ever cook a steak sandwich at home, I'll try and copy the recipe from the Mason Jar. Many thanks for a delicious #41. And if you're someone leaving bad reviews, I suggest going to church or ashram or temple or something, because we should all be GRATEFUL to be able to eat anything at all! Haven't you ever been through a health crisis where you were unable to eat normally for a prolonged period of time? Czech yourself! Do you know how lucky you are to be ALIVE? Fantastic bar service as well! Peace and Love!
