Ya'll, I paid $4 for a plain bagel with butter at this place. It's the fast food place of bagels. Bagel was soggy and not even toasted. The employees want absolutely nothing to do with you. My brother and I did a road trip through the New England states this Fall to see the colors. I got a plain bagel every morning for breakfast..with butter. Most places....$1.50-$2 for a plain bagel...with butter. Simple. Go to this place and she tells me...$4 for the damn bagel! Damn near fell over. Never again! I get people are in a rush and whatnot, but come on! Go somewhere else. That bagel wasn't even that good. I had many bagels on our trip and this was hands down the worst....and the staff there...good lord! I basically checked in here because I had to to talk about the cost. Just insanity. Ordered the chicken salad on a toasted sesame bagel, no additions (tomato lettuce cheese etc) which was a mistake. Did my research, was expecting chopped celery as is claimed online but only had chopped onion and it was unappetizingly mushy so it desperately needed the crunch. The mayo was "Cains-like" neutral-sweet. I prefer a more savory mayo, Hellman's girl so I should've left the tomato and lettuce at the very least. Won't order again, bagel was good as always, I'll stick to their superior meat egg and cheese bagels! read more

They are the best bakery bagels in Southern NH. (My personal fav is Bagel World in Reading but who can always get there?) They have been better about putting a good amount of cream cheese on the bagels lately, they used to skim - which was bad considering the prices. This brings me to my #1 point for not being 5 stars. They just raised their prices AGAIN. Their bagels, bagel & cc and 8oz ccs have all gone WAY up since we moved here 4 years ago. I understand inflation, but they just keep increasing! $8 now for 8oz of cc! I just can't do it. Bagel sandwich for breakfast, I do it every morning at home (really need to watch my carbs). This was OK, really just OK. I have to say I have never had an authentic NY Bagel, I don't know if this is that? It was a good bagel, not that different than what I get in MN..so not sure. I will say I was not thrilled with the breakfast sandwich. Egg check, Bagel...I asked for toasted and it was warm, not toasted. I asked for a cream cheese on it and there was so much cream cheese that it was almost inedible! I had to scrape a bunch off, I mean it was thick, like 1/2 a tub thick...maybe some people like this, hell some people like McDonalds...I did not. If somebody told you these weren't legit NY style bagels, if somebody told you this is just another average bagel shop in the midst of many, somebody lied. Okay. I'll admit that at first glance, the prices may seem pretty steep. But if you knew how hard to come by legit NY style bagel sandwiches are (lest you're actually...*in* NY), you'd understand. What I like about these sandwiches is how the portion sizes are just enough not to be too overwhelming. Granted, you're paying the price of an entire breakfast plate, you're getting just as much in quality. We're talkin' REAL egg, loads of bacon or....whatever breakfast pork you fancy, and a real good taste and flavor. Basically, they don't skimp on the innards of these breakfast sandwiches, unlike a lot of other chain restaurants that feature some kind of egg substitute. Now that we're here, I'll likely never order another bagel sandwich from the likes of Dunkin Donuts again. So, onto the two things I like least about this place.. 1.) They boil their coffee. Yes. Don't ask me WHY places do this. But theirs is a heat fierce enough to pierce through flesh, bone, and two layers of cardboard, evidently. It boggles the mind. 2.) They're parking lot is cramp. Like....cramp enough to give you claustrophobia. This is a point worth mentioning, because I swear I had at least 3 cars almost hit me WHILE I WAS STILL PARKED! Seriously, this lot is so small, you'll need to do a 6 point turn just to change direction. But at least the big sign out front makes this place easy as hell to find. Conveniently located near the highway, I could see myself stopping by here on the way to work one day. At any rate, it's a must visit and I'm recommending them to everyone. The place is very close to an actual NY style bagel store, at least like one that you can find on Long Island. The food is fantastic, I always get the bacon egg and cheese and ask for extra bacon and they never fail to disappoint me! I cannot pass up a bagel and this was a nice find on a holiday weekday morning. The parking lot is a bit of a challenge and was definitely crowded. The line was long but went relatively fast (you order and then wait at another part of the cafe to pick up when ready). They have a nice menu, although not the most diverse selection of bagels. Full of the usuals (maybe the more interesting flavors were sold out when I arrived) and so I went with French toast flavor. They also have the coffee syrups set up so you can do it yourself after ordering which I appreciated. The coffee was nice. I added my own cream and syrup and got it to a nice consistency. The wait for the bagel wasn't too long, all things considered with the line. The bagel was just okay. The bagel itself was very nice and tasted strongly of French toast but the egg was burnt, the cream cheese was flavorless and the way they got it just caused a super mess when I tried to break it apart in the car to share. I really dislike burnt egg so I couldn't even eat that part. I've had better bagel sandwiches at dozens of other places so I don't see myself stopping in again unfortunately. read more

Went here today with my boyfriend for the first time--he's told me he used to go here all the time since he grew up around Manchester, so it HAD to be pretty good. I got the garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese. DELICIOUS! They used fresh scallions and the cheese was sooo tasty. My boyfriend got a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich and he really liked it too. I really like this place even though I have only been here two times. The go to sandwich for me both times has been the chicken salad sandwich on a plain bagel which is lightly toasted with lettuce and tomato. Great white meat chicken salad and not too much mayonnaise. The last time I was there I wanted to try a different sandwich but really didn't want to go without the above mentioned chicken salad. So what would a rationale person do.... get two sandwiches. My wife and I are regulars and after trying so many different bagel shops, we finally found the BEST bagel around. I've driven past this place more times than I can count and I've always thought "I should stop there sometime!" It doesn't look like much from the road but the parking lot is always full. I decided to stop today and was pleasantly surprised! I will admit, I had a bit of sticker shock when I saw the menu and looked at the prices but that didn't last long! Surly cashier, friendly cook. A bit pricey but perfectly good food. I had the turkey BLT with spicy mustard instead of mayo: it was made with fresh turkey and a fresh garlic bagel. Quite stuffed and filling. With bottle of soda for $12.31. Panera's might've been a bit cheaper across the street but BC is quieter for sure. Easy entry if you're going northbound but hard to go south. Need to head north then make a turn a few hundred feet up. read more
